One of our favourite campsites is Glenmore Caravan and Camping site. The site is situated in The cairngorm Mountains near Aviemore. The site is run by "The Camping and Caravan Club" and sits on the banks of loch Morlich and within a large pine forest. There is two large heated toilet block which are kept very clean by very friendly staff. The site changes from season to season.sking in the winter to sitting on a sandy beach watching or taking part in the watersport on the loch in the summer. My favourite time of the year is spring when I am sitting in the spring sunshine looking up into the mountains at the snow still on top of the mountain. There is a adventure playground within the trees for the children to play and in the summer a small stream for them to paddle. Across the road from the site is the forestry visitors centre and also the Caringorm reindeer centre. If you prefer long or short walks, there are many signed paths, some of which are designed for the disabled camper. We as a family have spent my happy holidays over the years. My husband and I have taken our children to this site and now are returning with grandchildren.

Last Christmas we stayed at Walnut Cottage Holiday & Caravan Park, Milward Rise, Kenley, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY5 6NS. The site is very safe, access is via locked electric gates with keypads and intercom system. The pitches are almost level, with hardstandings and grass in between pitches. When we arrived in the dark, Wayne the owner helped us park the caravan in the correct space, and after unloading advised us where to park our car. Wayne is always out and about on site, asking people if they are ok and if they need anything. I asked about a shelf to put shower gel & shampoo on whilst in the shower, so he removed the one from his own bathroom and erected it in the shower room straightaway. Our awning blew down over the Christmas holidays and was damaged, so we dismantled it. Wayne was straight out to place all our stuff from the awning into a storage shed. May Day weekend Wayne, Penny and family had a fire pit going and invited all the caravanners to socialise. Dogs on leads are allowed. Children are welcome and have a play area with slide, trampoline and ball games and cycles are allowed. Chickens roam free in the grounds of the house and fresh eggs are for sale daily. At Christmas there were two mixed toilet/showers in use and at May Day additional toilet/showers were open. These showers are suitable for disabled visitors as they are wet rooms. Washing up area, plenty of water taps and recycling bins are provided and chemical toilet disposal site. G

Last Summer we visited Horsley Caravan and Camping Club Site In Surrey. We will certainly be staying there again and will recommend it to our friends. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The site is well maintained and the toilets and showers are spotless as are the washing up facilities. the lake provides good fishing and there is plenty for the children to explore. There are plenty of attractions within easy reach and also London is easily reached from Horsley. Highly reccommended

OK strange one for this competition. Recommended for all campsites. With people with Motorhomes. I have purchased a Smart fortwo cabrio. which is towed on a Brian James trailer. It give pure freedom when at a campsite for the period of time you are there. allowing touring about the area. It is FUN FUN FUN. Highly recommended.

Hi. I would like to comment on Lucksall Caravan and camping site in Herefordshire. The site is spotless so are toilet blocks and washing up facilities. The site wardens are the friendliest we've come across always laughing and joking and ready to help if needed but leave you alone to enjoy your stay with no fussing. It's on the river if your a keen fisherman, woods opposite to stroll round if you have a dog and bus stop outside for a trip into Hereford town and suitably based for travelling round Herefordshire and the like. yours sincerely TinnyTenters
