Welcome to Harford Bridge Holiday Park

If you're thinking of a Devon camping holiday then you couldn't choose a more beautiful area than Harford Bridge Park campsite, a family run park set in Dartmoor National Park. Just over 2 miles from the award winning market town of Tavistock with good mix of independent shops and high street names. On National Cycle Route 27 and near A386 Plymouth to Okehampton road.

Now an AA 4 Pennant Camping and Touring Park.

We have 125 pitches available for riverside camping, touring caravans, motor homes, trailer tents and tents.

Our 2014 camping & touring prices have been held at 2013 rates.

The award winning, 4 Star beautiful family-run Devon campsite set in Dartmoor National Park with delightful views of Cox Tor. The River Tavy forms a boundary offering riverside camping and other level spacious pitches

We are quality graded as an AA 4 Pennant Camping and Touring Park and an award winning conservation park with a special distinction award. We are on the 'Dartmoor Way' cycle route. Follow events and news about us on our Facebook page.

We have 125 pitches available for riverside camping, touring caravans, motor homes, trailer tents and tents. Devon camping that includes free use of:

Campsite Activities

Harford Bridge is a dog friendly campsite and offers a range of activities, including fishing, a tennis court, a children's play area and a games room. We are cycle friendly and adjacent to West Devon Cycle Route 27, so don't forget your bikes!

Dartmoor

Enjoy and explore Dartmoor.

Golf and Horse riding are nearby, and for the really adventurous there is tree surfing, mountain biking, white water rafting and canoeing.

Shepherd's Hut: Perfect Comfortable Camping in Dartmoor, Devon

The Shepherd’s Hut experience is available at Harford Bridge Park as ‘comfortable camping’ in our lovingly built Plankbridge hut. Plankbridge authentic Dorset Shepherd’s Huts are probably the finest huts being built by anyone in England today. Plankbridge uses craftsman’s skills to re-create huts based on the best Victorian designs.

The Harford Bridge Park Shepherd’s Hut “Jubilee” is sited on a large pitch looking out onto our main camping field towards the River Tavy and Dartmoor. The exterior is Plankbridge Green with unique decoration, inside is warm pink with oak and apple green detailing. The hut specification includes an oak floor with under-floor heating, double-glazing, characterful period style lighting and sheep’s wool insulation.

A small wood-burning stove can provide extra warmth. Also inside is a double bed, table, two chairs and a fridge, kettle and toaster. A wicker hamper containing vintage cutlery, enamel tableware and drinking glasses is provided. For outside use an awning, camping table and field kitchen are provided; these are stored in the ‘belly box’ on the hut underside. These features provide the means to enjoy ‘comfortable camping’ at Harford Bridge Park inside the hut or outside on a large grass pitch with views of Dartmoor.

Accommodation - the hut is for 1 or 2 persons (over 18 only). Extra persons can be accommodated on an adjacent grass camping pitch ('Combo Camping' - subject to availability and at applicable rates).

Check-in - after 1p.m. on arrival day; check-out by 11a.m. on departure day.

One night stays - subject to an £8.00 supplement to cover cleaning and laundry. If you decide to stay longer and the hut is available the supplement is discounted from the cost of the second night.

What you need to bring - staying in the hut means no need for camping equipment! Guests need bring only towels (towel hire is available), wash gear and food. Outdoor clothing is recommended.

Continental breakfast pack – available on request.

Directions

Leave the M5 from Bristol at Junction 31 (after Exeter). Take the A30 and leave this at the next junction beyond Okehampton onto the A386. We are 10 miles from this point - you will see the Harford Bridge Park sign on the A386 at the turning left to Peter Tavy.

From Plymouth follow the A386 through Tavistock heading towards Okehampton. After two miles turn right for Peter Tavy, and you will see the park entrance on the right-hand side.

What was great?
Beautiful riverside location on outskirts of Tavistock on Dartmoor. Friendly, clean and stunning. Didn't want to leave.
