Isles of Scilly

The cluster of islands off the coast of Cornwall which forms the Isles of Scilly is a haven for wildlife, making it ideal for a bird watching holiday. Since the 1950s and 1960s visitors have found that the spring and autumn migrations are excellent times to see rare birds (and to miss the busy-ness of the summer holidays!) and with over 400 species having been recorded on the islands it is generally accepted that Isles of Scilly birds and birding should be part of any twitcher's yearly calendar.

Isles of Scilly camping is a varied affair with some larger, well serviced sites on St Agnes and St Marys, but with a few far remoter sites on the other inhabited islands. All are steeped in the stunning beauty of this special island environment. At the time of writing this page (June 2014) latest sitings included Golden Oriole, Serin, Rustic Bunting and Red Footed Falcon on St Mary's and Woodchat Shrike on Gugh. Wonder what's been spotted in the last few days?
There were no campsites that match this pitch type so we are disregarding this and showing them all.
