Caravanning this Easter

Easter caravan breaks have it all: the weather, the smell of fresh blooms, and the fun. Whether it's a boat race or a goat race you're looking forward to this Easter, you're likely to find one roaming aboard your tourer. But if you need some inspiration for this year's Easter caravan break, we have a few destinations in mind. So, let's make like the Easter bunny and hop on over to where all the fun is.

Leeds Castle, Maidstone

A classic Easter caravan break destination, Leeds Castle promises to make your drive to Maidstone this year worth your while. The Circus Fun at Easter event will be running from 30th March to 2nd April, bringing you outdoor aerial shows courtesy of Tarzanna. The classic Easter Quest is also scheduled to run between 30th March and 15th April, and let's not forget the Explorers activity, which is bound to keep the little ones busy bird and tree spotting for hours. What's more, you have a good selection of caravan and motorhome parks nearby, including the Bearstead and the Finches site.

Skylark Maize Maze & Funyard, Wimblington

The Skylark Maize Maze is one of those places you can pop in over the summer only, but the Easter Funyard is open between 30th March to 15th April. The event roster features loads of other fun activities throughout the year, so if you make this place the main destination for your caravan holiday Easter 2016, you may find yourself returning here time and again. With the Fenland Camping and Caravan Park nearby catering to your every touring need, it's not hard to see why.

Cambridgeshire Microlights, Wimblington

While you're in the area, why not pop by the Cambridgeshire Microlights for a trial flight? This is one brag-worthy experience flight. Don't get too comfortable, though. We don't want you swapping your motorhome for a G-CVAL. The North London Skydiving Centre is right around the corner, so if you and your significant other think you've got what it takes for a tandem skydive, go for it, then!

Diggerland in Strood, Kent

Diggerland put Strood on the caravanner's map years ago. Today, visitors can even choose to arrive at the park in a chauffeured Tesla. But whichever way you choose to roll up to the park, you can't leave until you try the Mini Tractors, the go carts, the mini land rovers, the train, the diggers and the various rides, including the Spindizzy and the Groundshuttle. But let's put a pin in that; Diggerland is part of the Medway Valley Leisure Park in Rochester, so there's loads more to do here if you add it to your caravan holiday Easter 2018 agenda. Restaurants, a cinema, a bowling alley, a gym, a hotel, a casino and several other establishments are located here, making this a must-try destination for your Easter caravan break. There are a few caravan parks within reasonable distance, including Overshaw Caravan Park.

Oystermouth Castle at The Mumbles, Wales

Step back in time as you wander through this impressive castle with ruins dating back from the 12th century. With mazes, deep vaults, secret staircases, banqueting halls, tracery windows, 14th century murals, and a 30-foot-high glass bridge, this regal landmark not far from Mumbles Pier in Wales is a fantastic destination for your Easter caravan break. This year's list of events includes an Easter Egg hunt on April 1st, the popular Dungeons and Dragons Day on April 7th, and the Experience Medieval Life event a week later. There's puppetry and storytelling, and the whole family can take part in the crafts workshops and the costumed processions. Don't worry about finding a caravan site nearby, either, because you'll be spoilt for choice if you make Oystermouth Castle one of the main destinations on your caravan holiday Easter 2018 map. The Skysea Caravan and Camping Site, Pitton Cross Caravan Park, the Nicholaston Farm Caravan & Camp and many others are relatively close by.
