Campsitechatter lets you create pinboards to share your holiday experiences with
friends.
People use pinboards on CampsiteChatter to plan their next holiday, show their favourite
places they have been and show great walks through the UK. You can browse boards
created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who
share your camping interests.
A channel is a group of pinboards that are similar or relate to each other in some way. A number of campsites have created channels. If you create a pinboard that you believe should be added to a channel then
please send us a message to
[email protected] and we will request it to be added by the channel owner. Alternatively, most channel pinboards
are community pinboards so you can just repin or add your photos on to those boards.
Private Pinboard
On these types of pinboards only you can pin new photos. You can choose whether
everyone on CampsiteChatter can see your pinboard or just your friends.
Community Pinboard
If you have a subject that you want everyone on CampsiteChatter to contribute to
then this is the type of pinboard to choose. Once created, anyone can pin photos
to this board. An example is "Funny Camping Photos".
Below are comments received from users on CampsiteChatter. We want CampsiteChatter
to be a fun, safe and positive place to visit and the guidelines below are help
us achieve this:
1. Be Respectful
CampsiteChatter is a large community of people and we understand that people have
individual tastes but please be respectful in the photos you upload and the comments
you leave.
2. Report Offensive & Copywrited Photos
We do not allow nudity (unless it is a Naturist Campsite Pinboard), hateful content
or content that encourages people to hurt themselves. If you feel an image or comment
objectionable then please click the "Report Photo" button in the expanded view of
a photo.
3. Be Original
We find that people who are original and inspiring in their boards get the most
followers and comments.
If you click on one of your photos when on the main site then there is an "Edit"

photo so why not take a look.

There is no limit on the number of pinboards you create on CampsiteChatter. Each
pinboard is limited to 1000 photos.
A repin is adding a photo onto one of your boards from someone elses board on CampsiteChatter.
The person who originally pinned the photo onto CampsiteChatter will receive credit.

the Repin button. You will then be given options as to where you want to repin it.
There are two places to create a pinboard:

Chatter Q & A is not a discussion forum, it is all about getting answers
to your questions.
Just Questions....
....and Answers
The user who asks the question can "accept" one answer.
The accepted answer doesn't necessarily
mean it is the correct answer, just that it was the best answer for the person who
asked.
You earn reputation when people vote
on your posts
You earn reputation when your question or answer is up-voted.
As your reputation grows you will win badges and your credibility within the forum
will grow.
Further Information
When you ask a question, you own that question and then when peers answer it you
can accept the best answer (in your opinion). This will give the member who put
the effort in to give a good answer more reputation. It will also let other people
browsing the site a quick way to see the best answer.
Peers can vote on questions and answers that you submit. If you ask a good question
or give a good answer other members will vote that contribution up. You will be
awarded reputation for each vote you get. You will then begin to build credibility
within the Chatter Forum.
If you see a good question or answer then vote it up. This will give reputation
to the member who put in the effort to submit a good question or answer. Alternatively,
if you see a bad question or answer then vote it down. This will help other members
to see at a glance which answers are good/bad.
As you carry out certain tasks you will also be awarded badges. These will again
help build your credibility within the Chatter Forum. Please see above for an explanation
on badges.

up.

Chatter. The more photos you have the better you will appear in the search listings.

and pubs. Each campsite has upto 750 local venues and many of these already have
photos and comments. Directions and driving times from your campsite is given for
each venue.
A map to help the customer find you.
This basic listing is free forever!
It is free to upload as many photos as you wish to your campsite pinboard. In fact, the listing results are ordered by the number of photos you have on your pinboard. Hence, the more you add
the higher up the listings you will appear.
If you have regular visitors to your campsite why not encourage them to upload their holiday photos to your pinboard which will give you more exposure.
How to add photos to Campsite Pinboard
Once you have logged into your account you will see a "Pinboards" tab. Inside there you will find the pinboard designated to your campsite. Click on that and it will
bring you through to a page where you can either upload photos from your computer or import them from Facebook.
The photo you choose as the "Cover Photo" is the one that will appear in the listing results.
Please feel free to create more pinboards if you so wish...it is all free!
This is a forum but with a twist. Here are the main points:
The forum is based on earning Reputation When you ask a question, you own that question
and then when peers answer it you can accept the best answer (in your opinion).
This will give the member who put the effort in to give a good answer more reputation.
It will also let other people browsing the site a quick way to see the best answer.
Please see above for an explanation
on badges.
