Naturist Camping....Give it a Try

Heading towards winter but in the spring why don't you try naturist camping ?
You might ask “What’s so special about camping naked” and the answer is everything. If it’s warm enough you don’t get all hot and sticky putting up the tent. It’s relaxing and comfortable inside the tent, not having to find clothes to put on all the time (especially if you need the toilet at night),and with the trees, grass, wildlife and the stars, you truly feel at one with nature. To put it in a nutshell it’s like li...

Tour de France

We have just launched the Dare 2b Yorkshire Festival of Cycling to be the Hub for everyone wanting to attend the Tour de France in Yorkshire from 4-6 July next year.
We have the largest camp site in the region with a variety of different pitch options.
The Festival lasts 3 days with cycle rides, hospitality, evening concerts and of coarse the Tour comes right through the middle of the Festival.
Have a look at www.festivalofcycling.org

somerset bliss

just got back from spending a week at the 'OLD OAKS' (under 18yrs need not apply :D ) campsite.
Clean, the toilets & showers could be used to show a few hotel chains a thing or too nevermind campsites, can't wait to go back, lovely & quiet except 1 couple that couldn't grasp the concept of talking quietly at night time for the 2 days they were there but the site itself is 5* each pitch is more than big enough & it's only 1.5 miles away from Glastonbury & a great central point to explore the sur...

My best camping holiday

Last year my family and I took a camping trip to Tuscany. We lived at a luxury campsite with very good facilities and with funny activities for the kids. We had rented a mobile home with a cozy terrace, kitchen, airconditioning and so on. We were surprised so well this mobile home was furnished, we did not feel that we were missing anything, it was perfect for our family.
We have for years dreamed of af camping holiday in Italy. We have only been on charter trips, but we wanted to try something...

The camping is getting better.

I am new to caravanning and towing, this is my first season. After 2 pretty good trips close to home, we went further a field to Somerset, the site we chose was The Old Oaks at Glastonbury, from the very start I knew that we had made the right choice, the staff were very helpful, the site and views were second to none. This is an adults only site which we both wanted as we are getting on a bit. They welcome dogs on site and have a nice enclosed area for dogs to run, at the entrance to this are...

Camping Accessories

This our first year of towing a caravan and we have enjoyed every moment, but one thing I do not understand is why people spend a lot of money on awnings and never use them apart from storing tables and chairs. During the day the happy campers are either off site or sitting outside, as soon as the sun gets low they are off inside the caravan to watch TV. We have an awning and enjoy eating most of our meals in it, yes we do sit outside in the lovely sun we have had but in the evening we go back...
