Scuba diving at St Abbs, Scotland

We were to begin, we travelled up to Scotland pulling our Rambler caravan and all the dive equipment in the rear of the car. We had decided to stay on the campsite called Crosslaw in the village of Coldingham just a mile or so away from the harbour at St Abbs. You pull onto the site and are met by the large statics and make your way to reception, this is next to the small club area. The staff are friendly and point you into the right direction to the main touring/ camp site area. This is a nice area with hard standing at the top and grass at the bottom for tents with hedging in between. Once set up we travelled down to St Abbs harbour and spoke to our hard boat caption Paul Crow who owns a B&B , small cottage right on the edge next to the sea. He said he would take us out even though there was just the two of us. Kit loaded and off we went to Anenome City when when we dropped into the sea we dropped on loan fingers of sea bed going out to sea and on top hundreds and thousands of dead mans fingers. ( not really fingers of dead men). Carry on out further and look for the Wolf fish that you may find at about 18 metres and beyond. No luck this time but more diving to do over the next few days so fingers crossed. Get shallower and look at all the sea life including the sea birds diving all around us I think at our bubbles . Well it's been 45 mins and time to go up and do our saftey stop. Then back onto the boat via the lift. Yes that's right lifts drops into the sea, stand on it and get lifted onto the boat. Sit down and then a hot coffee is placed in your hand with a nice biscuit. That was great and another two days of the same great.
