Items Commonly Forgotten for Camping

There are few things more enjoyable than spending a few days camping with your friends or family. The feeling of living on the land and enjoying the natural beauty of the world simply cannot be beat. While camping may seem like a simple activity, there are actually a lot of things you need to bring on the trip. Since you do not want to be forced to leave the campsite to visit Camp Smart, these are five commonly forgotten items you must remember before leaving the house for your next camping trip.

Trash Bags

It is impossible to live anywhere for more than a day without accumulating a lot of trash. Since a lot of campsites do not have trash cans, you will need to find another way to dispose of your trash. The best way to do this is by bringing a pack of trash bags with you. This will let you cleanly dispose of your discarded items without littering in the campsite.

Knife

There is going to come a time on your camping trip when everyone starts to get hungry. Preparing a delicious meal will be a lot easier if you have a knife to cut the food. The great thing about this useful tool is that is can be used to take care of a lot of other tasks on the campsite including removing splinters and shaving wood.

Entertainment

It is easy to pass the time during the day while camping, but it much harder to stay entertained after dark. Hiking, fishing and swimming are not safe after the sun goes down. If you want to keep everyone from getting bored, then you need to bring some form of entertainment that can be enjoyed around the fire. A board game, book or guitar can all help pass the time late at night.

Flashlight Batteries

While the moon and stars will provide some natural lighting, it can get really dark in the middle of the night. Once the fire is put out, a flash light will be your only source of lighting. This flashlight will come in handy if you need to make a late night bathroom trip. While most campers remember the flashlight, they often forget to bring extra batteries. Nobody wants to go on a bathroom trip in total darkness because the flashlight batteries stopped working.

Wet Wipes

They may not be regularly associated with camping, but few things are more useful on a campsite than wet wipes. These wet towels are the perfect tool to clean your hands and face after eating a meal. They can even be used to quickly clean the dishes or your tent. Wet wipes will also be very useful if you happen to run out of toilet paper. Keeping everything clean during a camping trip can be tricky, but it is a lot easier when you pack some wet wipes.

So there you have it. These are some things that you might forgot on your way to your camping holidays. Be sure to have a checklist of the things you needed so that it will be an enjoyable camp.
