Auchenlarie’s award winning parkland and superb facilities offer a fantastic alternative to the toil of every day life.

Featuring a heated indoor swimming pool with children’s area, mums and dads can swim in the large pool whilst the kids enjoy a play in their own area and, if you have caught the fitness bug, our fully equipped gym means you can exercise to your heart’s content then top up your tan in the solarium.

The whole of Auchenlarie has been carefully and extensively developed to the highest standards enabling you to enjoy a fabulous choice of licensed bars, on site shopping, a choice of snacks or restaurant meals, resident entertainers and cabaret, plus much more.

Chalets And Holiday Homes For Hire

All our holiday homes for hire are maintained to the same high standard, from the lower priced basic Bronze Grade models right up to our Luxury Hot Tub units. Linen is included but does not include towels or cot bedding. Cots, high chairs, extra patio chairs, extra heaters, extra linen/beding are all available to hire by arrangement. All units have heating in the lounge area, and the Gold and Luxury models have double glazing and central heating – ideal for early- and late- season visits.
Our Bronze holiday homes are pet-friendly.

Touring Pitches With Electric Hook-Up

Touring circles are all-inclusive pitches – electric hook-up, TV connection, hard-standing and water supply.

The Leisure Suite

Auchenlarie’s delightful offerings don’t just stop at its location.

There has never been a better time to use our comprehensive Leisure Suite. So come and join us and enjoy the energetic atmosphere and make use of the facilities which include:

Indoor Heated Swimming Pool - FREE SWIMMING TO EVERYONE!

We have a newly refurbished swimming pool and changing rooms (with baby changing facilities in both males and females changing areas). Our swimming pool is 16.5m x 7.5m and 1.2 m deep. It has a separate area that is shallower for young children complete with interactive seal.

Auchenlarie's Gymnasium

Partly furnished for 2013, now with Free Weights! Our gym contains a variety of exercise machines designed to get, and keep, you feeling fitter. Weights, exercise bikes and rowers, treadmills and steppers… they’re just waiting for you! Our trained staff will also provide you with a personal fitness programme. In fact, something for everyone and every level of fitness. For that personal touch why not book a session with our fully qualified Personal Trainer?

Tanning Can

We like to think the sun always shines at Auchenlarie so pop along and try our Tanning Can for only 75p a minute!

The Complex

This building houses most of Auchenlarie's entertainment, fitness and eating options. Join us at our Welcome Meeting in the Starlight Suite on a Tuesday or Saturday at 10.30am during high season to find out whats going on and where!

Something for everyone

There's an amusement arcade, The Zone, for those who like to try their luck- and there's even an ATM cash machine to replenish your cash supplies. You can also top up your phone with this machine. The stunning sea views from the Bistro will revive you in the morning and relax you in the evenings. Once in the building you will find something for every member of the family.

The Starlight Suite Function & Entertainment Room

Regular cabaret, children's entertainers & our mascot Peter the Panda ... they all happen here! Come along & enjoy a family night out - the children are more than welcome to stay late (as long as they stay with you!).

Weddings, Parties & Conferences

The Starlight Suite is a stunning venue for your big day! We've held numerous weddings, both ceremony & receptions, so why not consider it for your big day? It's also available for Conferences & birthday parties, charity functions/balss - any kind of big event really! AHP Bistro

This is the place to enjoy a drink and a bar meal. On sunny days,and warm evenings take a seat on the terrace and make the most of eating in the wonderful fresh air. Look out for Specials, Sunday Carvery & our small posrtions & kids options!

The Zone

Plenty of games machines here to test your skill and general knowledge. An Xbox station with all the up to date games. This venue is located at the end of the complex past the Leisure Suite.

The Sports Bar

Four 3D High Definition screens show all the matches, and the Sports Bar plays host to some Karaoke Nights in the high season. Pet owners please note - your dog is very welcome to come in here for a drink, just as long as he brings you with him! Come along for special offers etc.
Crazy Golf
In a completely different area from the last, the Crazy Golf is situated infront of The Complex. Enjoy a friendly/competitive game of mini golf with mum or dad, brothers or sisters or hubby or wife, whilst taking in the magnificent sea views and gulps of fresh air!

Crazy Golf provides endless fun and laughter for all the family, so why not give it a go?!

Out and About

As you would expect of an area such as Dumfries and Galloway, you will be spoilt for choice when deciding what to do and where to go.

There are many historic and interesting sites to visit including: Cairnholy, Cardoness Castle, Carsluith Castle, Drumcoltran Tower, Dundrennan Abbey, Kenmure Castle, Mote of Mark, Mote of Urr, Orchardton Tower and Threave Castle.

Museums include the interesting and dazzling Creetown Gem Rock Museum, which is one of the most comprehensive collections of gems and minerals and has taken over 50 years to assemble. You can also explore the atmospheric Gemstone Cave and watch gemstones being polished in the museum's workshop.

Outdoor folk and nature lovers will be in absolute paradise. Nature sites, forest trails, sailing centres, scenic walks and rambles are to be found all around the area. And to remind you of a fantastic holiday, why not look for a special gift to take home in one of the many craft and gift shops that are all close at hand.

Live traditional music can be found in several local pubs, the region plays host to both the Galloway and the Portpatrick Folk Festivals and there are folk clubs which meet regularly in Dalbeattie and Stranraer. For pop fans the Wickerman Festival at Dundrennan in July is well worth checking out for a day visit, and the region’s many galas usually feature a jazz band!
