Welcome to Bagnol Caravan Park

Bagnol Caravan Park is set in their own grounds within walking distance of the marvellous sandy beach at Trearddur Bay on the holiday island of Anglesey in North Wales.

Please note that static caravans are not for hire (on a weekly basis etc), but are for sale only for siting on the parks.

The caravan parks are an ideal location for a holiday in North Wales, or as a location for your own static caravan. Set on the coast of Anglesey in Trearddur Bay, the sites cater for static caravans, touring caravans, and camping. Clean, modern facilities are provided on the sites.

There are plenty of things to do around these caravan parks on Anglesey, and the sandy beach of Trearddur Bay is a short walk from the sites. See our location page for information about Trearddur Bay and Anglesey including things to do.

A unique feature of the parks is the collection of solid wood carvings by Australian sculptor Andy Hancock who lives in Texas. There are beautiful animals, birds and very original statues from solid wood, which is a great attraction and favourite with our visitors.

Touring Caravan Site in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, North Wales ...

The touring park is located on Bagnol Caravan Park and has 113 pitches in total (touring caravans and camping combined). For touring caravans there are hard standings with electricity and water, and there is street lighting over the whole area. There is also a caravan storage facility for storing touring caravans over the winter.

Set in Trearddur Bay near Holyhead on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales, this is an ideal location for a holiday in this beautiful part of Wales, or to have a rest-over period prior to departure or arrival on the ferry link to Dublin in Ireland via the ferry from Holyhead.

There are clean and modern facilities in the new toilet block featuring toilets and showers (including those for the disabled), and a laundrette and ironing facilities. Local shops, public inns and restaurants are within easy walking distance. There is a Foodzone with a few vending machines for drinks and snacks.

Scenic Holiday Location in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, North Wales ...

Bagnol and Tyn Towyn Caravan Parks are situated in Trearddur Bay on Holy Island near Holyhead with easy access from the new A55 dual carriageway across Anglesey (see our location map). The caravan parks are about 2 hours drive from Manchester and Liverpool.
The parks are close to interesting coves and sandy beaches, which are renowned throughout the UK for swimming, sunbathing, snorkling and sub aqua diving. The main beach has a Blue Flag rating for cleanliness and clarity of water.
The caravan parks are conveniently located within easy walking distance of all beach facilities, local shops, public inns and restaurants.
There are numerous activities to enjoy in the area including boating, fishing, walking and horse riding.
There is a large boating regatta during each August and the caravan parks are very convenient for those wanting to watch or participate.
Boats can be easily launched from Trearddur Bay. The caravan park offers secure storage facilities where clients can leave their fishing/ski boats on a yearly or short term basis. Nearby Holyhead is an all year round deep harbour for yachting enthusiasts and motor boats.
This area of Anglesey is ideal for sea fishing and people wishing to fish can do so from the surrounding rocks and fresh bait is easily available from local suppliers on a daily basis.
For those who enjoy walking there are many splendid walks over the headlands following footpaths that start at Bagnol Caravan Park. These footpaths are suitable for the young and old alike.
Horse riding is also popular in the area, and there are local stables where you can hire a horse. For those who enjoy golf there is an 18 hole course at Holyhead Golf Club (1.5 miles away), and a 9 hole course a few hundred yards from Tyn Towyn Caravan Park with easy access from Bagnol Touring Park.
There are numerous tourist attractions on the Isle of Anglesey to be visited on your holiday including South Stack Lighthouse, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Beaumaris Castle, Henblas Park, and many historical Celtic monuments.
A fantastic evening sight is the setting of the sun across the bay which has inspired many poets and artists. The area is an artists paradise in which many local and professional artists have found inspiration from the beautiful landscape and surroundings.

Good site

What was great?
As you pull into the site it looks nice and clean. The caravans are spread out and not too close. The staff in reception are not as friendly as most sites. You are allowed to choose your pitch and there are an array of these but some are a way from the facilities so plan ahead. There are plenty of water stands around the site but all these have to be shared. The toilet facilities are attached to the reception building and are clean and tidy. A good site if you are wanting to scuba dive Anglesey

Anglesey is a fantastic place and will go back again and again BUT NOT TO THIS SITE

Even better if....
Well what a change over the last 12 months. There is a designated site for tents and one for touring vans. The touring site has been seriously reduced to place new statics on there. The web page has not been updated with this or with the increase in price per night. They now allow tents to pitch on the touring site and because the tenters avoid the hard standing areas it means they have to pitch on the grass in between right up to the adjoining caravan. We had a tent within 1 foot of our van and could hear everything that went on. Rather than pitching one tent in a caravan space they are pitching up to 5 tents. The reception do not monitor the size of the tents or where they are pitching. They just allow them to pitch anywhere. The increased traffic has put serious pressure on the toilet blocks with the showers having no pressure at all. They just trickle out of the shower head. When you speak to reception they just state "Wait an hour and then have a shower". We took showers at 0800, 1000 and 1900 over three days and they did not change, just a trickle. When we spoke to the manager to complain he just shrugged and said " Everybody wants to come on holiday at the same time, We dont monitor the tent sizes or allocate space" For me this is an accident waiting to happen. Bagnol Caravan Park, Trearddur Bay, Anglesey

What was great?
Bagnol is our favourite caravan park in North Wales. It's a "make you feel at home" place. The park and facilities are modern and clean. Our pitch was spacious and all had electric hook ups and water on the field. Their are lovely arty wooden sculptures dotted around the site which give a homely feel to the place. We found the staff friendly and had a good laugh with them. The beach is just a couple minutes walk away from where we were camping and there is a food zone for snacks, laundry, washing area and all the other things that campers need on holiday.

Even better if....
We had to go home!

What was great?
Plenty of local open area to walk the dogs and just through the fields five minutes walk away is the main beach large large bay beach with plenty of room to run on. Within five minutes in the car there are plenty of other bays to walk the dog which does not have a lot of public.

What was great?
There are no pubs on the site but only a short walk through the fields and you will find a couple. On on the front is a seaside pub which allows children in with slots, games, pool. Just outside is a nice seating area when sunny.

Smokers stood all around the nice sea view garden

What was great?
In the next village is a great Thai restaurant which is small and cosy. Please check as it only opens a certain times. There is plenty of choice on the menu. Alcohol is also sold with a small choice

The Boathouse

What was great?
This restaurant is fantastic and if you get the chance please try it. It is set down a country lane that is only one vehicle wide and when you get there there is a large sandy bay with this place on the front. It has a nice seating area with a great menu through the day. Try the mussels they are great with the walnut bread. The restaurant is open on a Friday and Saturday at the moment but normaly just on a Saturday so please ring ahead as it gets full

This site does not have a swimming pool but why would you need one , if you walk through the field for a couple of minutes you come to several great beaches with the sea to swim in.n

Well what can you say about this site and the walks all around the island. Within five minutes there is a fantastic beach to walk on and along the coast road. Within five minutes in a car is another couple of beaches that are again clean tidy and great walks.
