What was great?
There are only five pitches at Bardwell Manor but there electric hook ups. We were in a caravan, not a motor home. It is the most delightful place, snuggling in the glorious Suffolk countryside between Bury St. Edmunds and Diss - both lovely places to visit and just 20 minutes distant. The sites is surrounded by fields containing the horses belonging to the equestrian centre. You wake up to the gentle whinnying of these beautiful creatures. It is wonderfully quiet and at night it is completely dark so a good night's rest is assured. There are showering and toilet facilities which are immaculately clean and there is also a washing machine and tumble dryer for the use of residents. Despite being in the countryside the small village of Bardwell is within walking distance and has a Post Office/general store and two pubs which serve good real ale and food. Within an hour you have Newmarket and Cambridge to the West and Lowestoft, Felixstowe and Great Yarmouth to the East. The equestrian facilities are excellent with well qualified, patient and sympathetic staff. They offer lessons and hacks and take both beginners and experienced riders and all in between. I had two lessons and a hack which enabled you to enjoy views which would be impossible to see on foot or in a car. The horses range in size from ponies to 17 hands and are all in perfect condition If you want noise and wild night life this is not the place for you but if you want an enjoyable, peaceful rest in beautiful countryside book now.

Even better if....
There was a better sign at the entrance. The GPS tells you the it is on the other side of the road. We almost missed it!
