What was great?
The location and the animals at the site were lovely. The new facilities block was also used by day visitors which was a little unusual. The modern block had 2 unisex toilets, 1 shower, 2 hand wash basins and 1 washing up sink.

Even better if....
Admittedly the weekend we camped was excepionally busy with campers on site for a wedding as well as holiday campers. We found that tents had been allowed to be pitched too close together - as many were camping as groups. We found ourselves stuck in the middle of the field. There was noise well into the early hours despite site rules stating that noise should be kept to a minimum after 10pm. Due to the business of the site we gave up on trying to have a wash/brush teeth for the 2 nights we stayed as it was simply impossisble to obtain a washbasin. The washing up sink was also left in a shocking state on the first night with food left at the bottom! I feel that given the numbers allowed to camp there should be more washing and toilet facilities - I really don't think we could have managed for longer than 2 nights
