What was great?
We only went for one day/night as it was our first time caravanning, and we chose the site as wasn't too far from home to travel to. It's in a great location for walking in the Peaks, especially for exploring The Roaches and Lud's Church, and is very close to a decent pub (The Three Horseshoes) just a few minutes’ walk south from the site. Good, clean site with plenty of waste and water points and immaculate toilet/shower blocks, plus a visiting fish and chip van on Saturday evenings 5-6pm (which the kids liked)! The wardens were also very pleasant and helpful. We didn't have a dog with us, but there were plenty of people there who did, so it seemed very dog friendly.

Even better if....
Whilst I've nothing bad to say about the site at all, it was quite quiet for the kids, and whilst we took our son's bike with us, he was a little hard pressed to ride it anywhere without being glowered at by some older caravanners who clearly did not want kids around! There are a few play areas for younger kids around the site though, but being 10, he cannot be convinced he's young anymore!
