What was great?
Very well kept Caravan and Camping Park situated next door to the River Ur. Private access to the river with its family of ducks and beautiful sunsets over the river. A gorgeous place to relax or try out some of the great walks the area. Nearby is the beautiful village of Roecliffe, just 5 mins walk away, with a great pub - The Crown - which allows dogs into the bar and serves great food. There are charted walks down the River Ur accessing the canal and several other walks that can be purchased for 20p at reception.

What was great?
Pleasant staff, well kept gardens and site with several differing plots for caravans. There is main field with mainly grass and a couple of of hard standing. Then there is a two full service pitches away from the rest. Some great walks to be had down the river paths and through the town of Borobridge

Even better if....
When we first got to the site we paid the rest of the fees and were then told that the two full service pitches were next to the toilet block looking at a couple of garages next to the main road. Plus the humming was from the factory over the road and goes 24/7. The main road has traffic all night including HGVs and the humming seems to get loader on a night.

What was great?
There looks to be a disabled hard standing pitch next to the main office and toilet block . These are on the same level and wheelchair access to all areas.

Plenty of areas for walking the dogs including the river and town.

The Crown pub is five minutes down the road by car from the site and is a nice oldy worldy pub. There is plenty of choice in the drinks and bitters. There is a varied menu but the prices are a little steep. If you want to go book the week before as its that populer.

There are a number of walks from this site along the rivers edge. Then there is the walk into town which is about 15 mins. Several goods walks around the town.
