Welcome to Brynawelon Caravan and Camping Park

Brynawelon is a small, select and tranquil touring caravan and camping park. This park is situated just outside the rural village of Sarnau and just two miles from the beautiful West Wales coastline and sandy beaches, many of which are dog friendly.

Being within easy reach of the market towns of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn, and popular sandy beaches of Llangrannog and New Quay, this unspoilt area has a lot to offer the family holiday maker who wants a quiet, relaxing holiday, combining the delights of both the coast and countryside.

Modern heated Amenity Building with NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES for hot showers. With Private Individual Cubicles, Family Room incl Baby Change, Baby Bath & Facility for the Disabled
Located on a level site we have a range of Fully Serviced Hardstanding, All Weather & Grass Pitches for caravans, motorhomes tents & trailer tents, all served with 16 amp Electricity.
Any number of well behaved dogs are very welcome on site, a small enclosed Dog Exercise Area is provided for off lead exercise, use of an indoor temperature controlled dog shower is available to customers dogs - see more on our dog friendly page

A Campers Kitchen with NO CHARGE for use of microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and freezer. Dishwash & Laundry Area
Housed in a conviently located log cabin, the Diswashing, Laundry Area and Campers Kitchen is fully equipped with Microwave, Toaster, Kettle, Fridge and Freezer, which allows for a little more luxury when camping and what's more use of this is included in your pitch price!

Any number of well behaved dogs are very welcome on site, a small enclosed Dog Exercise Area is provided for off lead exercise, use of an indoor temperature controlled dog shower is available to customers dogs

A securely fenced outdoor children’s play area is centrally located in the touring area, with climb around, swing, slide and climbing wall, suitable for children aged up to 12 years

Relax in our TV Room with large LCD TV & use our Book Swap facility on those wet days

Have exclusive use of our on site Luxury 4 Person Sauna
Take time to relax and pamper yourself in our Finnish style sauna, a somewhat unique experience for most caravanners and campers. A comfortable changing area is provided, along with a shower to complete your exclusive and relaxing experience.

High Speed WiFi Internet Access available to all pitches
Wifi high speed internet access is available to all pitches on the park, provided by Caraweb. Cards can be purchased for access via your wireless devices for 1 Hour, 1 Day, 3 Days, Or 1 Week. Calor Gas is available for sale on site on a bottle exchange basis only.

Seasonal Pitches

With the ever increasing costs of Fuel why not take the hassle and expense out of towing your caravan and site it with us at Brynawelon Touring & Camping Park for the season?

Due to increased demand here at Brynawelon we have increased the number of pitches allocated for seasonal use. Seasonal Pitches allow you to pay a one off fee, station a caravan on a pitch & visit as frequently as you desire. In an attempt to beat the recession we hope the more seasonal pitches we sell the more chance we have to lower the pitch fee/offer discounted rates.....

Your Seasonal Pitch
Once you have paid your site fee and chosen the pitch you would like to station your caravan on, many of which have sea views, the pitch is allocated to you and your caravan for the entire season. Your caravan will not move from your allocated pitch.
There are no "surprise" charges attributed to your pitch, which means there is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for the 16amp electric hook up (many sites only supply 10amp) and no additional charge for your stays in your caravan.

Fully Serviced Seasonal Pitches
Pitch your caravan on a spacious hard standing, with ample space for an awning* and parking next to or in front of your unit.

Our serviced pitches allow for you to directly connect your caravan into the mains with both water, grey water disposal and 16amp electric all on your pitch.
To keep things tidy we allow for you to put 1 storage box at the rear of your caravan so not to clutter the underneath of the van.
Our TV reception is fantastic here at Brynawelon, all serviced pitches can pick up the main digital mast.

We allow multi dogs here at Brynawelon, we do not object to a small enclosure to be erected at the side of your caravan for your dog (s) provided it does not encroach onto neighbouring pitches.

Pre booked friends and family rates for anyone who is seasonally sited with us, just pre book with the site, and we allow for friends and family to use your van under the terms stated in your agreement.

Winter Storage

We are able to offer on pitch secure winter storage, should you wish to link your seasons together.

Amenity Building

Our centrally situated toilet and shower block comprises a modern centrally heated fully equipped building with toilets, hot showers, baby change and facilities for the disabled. Unlike many sites we do not charge for the use of this building, meaning the ample hot water in the showers is included in your pitch fee, no fear of running out of money or hot water here! Whilst other sites may show 'exceptionally low' nightly pitch fees, feeding 50ps into a shower can significantly increase your nightly fee!
As experienced tourers and campers themselves the owners of Brynawelon have designed and invested heavily in what they believe is one of the most important features of any touring site.

This purpose designed facility is split into three main rooms, the ladies, the gents and the combined family/facility for the disabled room.
We deliberately over subscribed the number of toilets and showers to pitches ratio to ensure that the customer should never have to queue and in 5 years of the block being installed we have never experienced customer queues, likewise the hot water system is a large system to ensure that hot water is available at any time of day or night, for as long as you the customer desires.

The attractive log clad building is cleaned and maintained daily to a very high standard and comprises the following;

Family Room / Room For The Disabled
This self contained multipurpose room accessed via the ramped deck and has 1 high level toilet, 1 low level shower with shower seat, low level wash hand basin, full Doc M Pack, low level hand dryer, alarm facility, a wall mounted baby change and baby bath.

Dogs Welcome !

Dogs are very welcome at Brynawelon Touring & Camping Park, unlike many other caravan parks we do not restrict the number or breed of dog(s) you may wish to bring with you on holiday. We believe your dog(s) is part of the family and so no matter how many well behaved dogs you own they are welcome here at Brynawelon.
Exercise Area - The small exercise area of approx 40m2 is securely fenced and seperate from the caravan and camping areas to allow dogs to be free from a lead. This area is not huge but is more than suitable for an off lead 'romp' around and for the morning and nightly toileting for your pet(s).
We charge a nominal fee of £1.50 per night per dog, this covers the cost of dog waste disposal and maintainance of the exercise area.
Where possible and particularly for those holiday makers with multiple dogs we will allocate you a pitch away from the childrens play area and on a perimeter pitch. We do not object to you erecting a 'windbreak' enclosure provided it is secure and does not encroach onto neighbouring pitches.
K9 Shower - Not only do we have exceptional facilities for humans but also for your K9 companions, contained within our outdoor kennel for our own dogs is a temperature controlled dog shower allowing you to rinse off your dog(s) after a muddy walk or sandy run on the beach, we charge a fee of 50p per dog for the use of this facility.

We ask that you abide by the following rules whilst onsite with your dog(s)
When away from the exercise area dogs are under the supervision of a responsible adult not a child under any circumstances

That dogs are cleared up after at all times, should you have forgotten your poo bags then please ask the owner who will supply

That dogs whilst within the confines of the pitch are teathered on suitable length lead and/or within the secure confines of your awning/windbreak

That when away from the exercise area ALL dogs are on a suitable length lead

That no dog(s) is left unattended on the park at any time, tents and caravans can get extremely warm, if you are going somewhere that doesn't accept dogs we can provide details of a day boarding facility
That your dog(s) are not a nusiance to other campers, whilst we are dog lovers others may not be
The county of Ceredigion is mostly dog friendly with a variety of walks either on the coastal path or forestry areas or on almost any one of the glorious beaches including, Tresaith, Aberporth, New Quay and Poppit Sands, all within a 10 mile radius of Brynawelon. Please be aware that we are in a rural area and as such you are required to use the Countryside Code.

Children Welcome !

Children are made very welcome at Brynawelon, catering more for younger children, we ask that children are supervised by an adult. We have made every effort to create areas that are easily supervised, allowing children the independence to play with the safety of supervision.

Outdoor Play Area
To the east of Brynawelon and visible from most touring and camping pitches is a fenced and gated outdoor children's play area, suitable for small children and those up to the age of approx 12 yrs - older children may be bored easily sorry!

Children are able to play on the equipment with the safety of distant supervision from surrounding pitches
The play park includes a climb around climbing frame, a cargo net, balance beam, tyre on a rope and push up bars and a swing. NEW FOR 2012 is the installation of a Maxifort Pioneer which includes a slide & climbing wall all contained on a play fort.
For toddlers we have a variety of plastic outdoor play equipment including a little tikes slide and see saw.
Being a small park unfortuntely we do not have a huge amount of land space and are unable to allow ball games onsite, there are, however, plenty of sandy beaches in the area to have a kick about.

TV Room & Book Swap

An indoor TV room located separately from the touring area provides entertainment for children and adults alike.
The small room provides an area to sit and watch the large screen LCD television running the freeview channels and has been the location to watch many of the major sporting events for our customers. For 'older' children it also allow a place to go and 'hang out' once the outdoor park closes at 10pm.

A table footy machine along with a toy vending machine keep both children and adults entertained on the wettest of days.
We have found many customers love our book swap facility. Whether you have forgotten your book or have simply finished the books you bought with you, then check out our book swap stocked with a variety of fiction. You are welcome to take any book from this area home, however, we ask that either you 'swap' for another book or leave a donation in the tin provided.

Area Attractions

There are a number of attractions within a short drive of Brynawelon, whilst we are only a short distance from Penbryn beach (1.5miles approx) please be aware that whilst it is a nice down hill stroll to the beach, at the end of a long day you have to return up the hill to the site!

Directions

Travelling north on the A487 coast road from Cardigan, turn right at the crossroads in Sarnau village, signposted to Rhydlewis. The site is on the left hand side in 650 yards.
