Morissons is the nearest large supermarket (with petrol station). There is a smaller Sainsbury in Bude itself and a Coop.

Between Whitsun and the end of the school summer holidays Grumpy Pete's Bar on site serves a range of local beers and cider. The nearest pubs are the Manor and the Bay View Inn both at idemouth Bay and there are several pubs in and around Bude.

Out side of the main busy periods dog walking is available on site. The site is situated off a large picnic layby which is used for dog walking and there is a public footpath along a lane which leads off of this. All the local beaches are dog friendly through the winter, and from Easter onwards it's pretty much every other beach is dogs allowed, so the South beach at Widemouth is dogs allowed as is the main beach in Bude, Summerleaze.

The area has a wealth of pubs and restaurants which serve great food. The campsite maintains a direcectory in it's information center which contains menus from most as well as the owners reviews of some.

It really all depends on what you want to buy. Bude itself is fairly small and mainly has independant local traders, the only big high street names being Boots and WH Smith. If you're after surfer gear Bude is well provisioned, with Fat Face, Salt Rock and Annes Cottage all having outlets.
There is an electrical retailer, a couple of jewellers, bookshop and a small department store.
Food shopping is covered by a Morrisons, a small Sainsburys, a small Coop, a deli, bakers, fishmongers, a couple of butchers and lots of pasty shops!!
Highstreet clothing retailers are best found in Barnstaple, Exeter, Plymouth or Truro.

Morrisons has the closest petrol station (~3 miles) with an Esso station a little further down the road. To the south there is petrol at Wainhouse Corner about 4 miles away

There are 2 doctors practices in Bude and a Minor Injuries Unit in Stratton. Emergency contact details for these, dentists, vets etc. are posted in our information area and are included in the arrivals information we give to guests.
