What was great?
This site definitely has the wow factor. We pitched literally on the banks of Loch Lomond and the views were stunning. The area is surrounded with forests to explore and lots of water sports nearby. The site has quite a good shop, and the staff are brilliant. The pitches are large and well maintained with electric hook ups if required. The nearest town is Balloch,15 miles away. But well worth a day out. The facilities on site are excellent and well looked after.

Even better if....
Access to site site is down a tight little road for about 7 miles, with lots of bends and one small steep hills. It can get a bit hairy if something large is coming the other way. There is no TV signal and even the FreeSat can be dodgy.... but who needs TV on a site like this! Only thing that I didn't like was some idiot banging a drum all night somewhere off in the distance (not on the site), and it was only for 1 night.

What was great?
A pitch on the lochside with open views of Loch Lomond. Watching the activity on on the loch. Good site facilities. Good walks from the site. Grandson enjoyed playning in the loch. Dog also enjoyed playing in the loch. A nice relaxing place to camp. Not too far from civilisation.

Even better if....
Less Midges.
