Indoor Pool

Our new indoor facilities have seen the summer season come and go and are now ready for winter - Our indoor leisure facilities will stay open throughout, with the exception of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve & New Years Day.

This superb new addition offers a series of fantastic spaces in which to relax and spend time with the family in comfortable and state-of-the-art surroundings.

The star attraction is the indoor swimming pool complete with spa jets for ultimate relaxation.

Our caravan and camp sites are a stone’s throw from the swimming and leisure building and whatever the weather, there’s something for all ages to enjoy.

Cofton is a restful family park with caravan sites and camping, and set in the picturesque South Devon countryside; where the pace is gentle but there's plenty to keep you interested if you don't fancy a trip out.

We’re open all year and our facilities include:

Eat, Drink & Relax

Now open, Amelia’s Pantry is located in the upstairs of our new building and will serve a range of hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks.

A perfect place to unwind with the family following a swim in the pool, the country bar and restaurant also includes an entertainment zone with TVs and comfy seating as well as an adjoining childrens soft play and pool tables.

Ashburn Springs and Amelias Pantry is open throughout the year but closes Christmas and New Year between 22nd December 2012 & 6th January 2013 inclusive.

Warren Retreat

Also new, this spacious room has a bar and dance floor and will feature evening entertainment including quiz and games nights, karaoke nights and children’s discos as well as live performances such as cabaret singing.

The next-door amusement arcade is an escape for all ages come rain or shine, and embraces a range of the latest games as well as enduring classics of chance and skill.

Swan Pub

The traditional Swan Pub is a quieter retreat in a pub like atmosphere which is exclusively for our guests. Our pub has a choice of seating areas, which include views of the swimming pool from the patio, our main bar (which has disabled access).

We are open every evening, and during the weekends we serve breakfast and lunch.

We serve delicious, home-cooked food and source our produce locally wherever possible and our talented chefs also prepare a daily Specials Board. Click here to download a copy of the Menu.

Fishing

For a holiday park with fishing, look no further than Cofton Country Holidays. Coarse Fishing Holidays are our speciality. Angling is becoming one of UK’s biggest sports and to make it as accessible as possible, all of our waters have level access and there is disabled parking by the gate. Please see our access statement for more details. We also have disabled fishing platforms and family friendly platforms.

Our Carp Fishing Lakes

Luscombe and Trusham lakes are our specimen carp lakes which have common and mirror carp averaging double figures and up to 28lb being the record. Mamhead, Powderham and Ashcombe Pools have an abundance of carp up to 10lb.We have invested in these lakes in April 2012 with over 1000lb of new carp averaging 2-4lb in weight. Our species also include tench, roach, rudd, bream, perch and koi. Our Lakes are feature packed with several islands, vegetation, reeds, gravel bars and even floating islands. Primarily stocked with carp across all 5 lakes we have angling for all tastes.

We have achieved the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation for 10 years in a row, this top award marks real contribution to the environment and guarantees positive policies on waste management, recycling and landscaping which is very evident throughout the holiday park and especially on our fishery. Location

The beautiful West Country is a popular destination but at Cofton you'll find yourselves away from the crowds in a secluded valley in stunning countryside.

We're just minutes from Blue Flag beaches on the South Devon coast and convenient for visitor attractions and exciting towns. If it's all-singing, all-dancing nightlife you're after then you'll only need to travel to Exeter, but if a quiet country pub and quality time with family or friends is your preference, then you'll find Cofton is perfect.

Touring Caravan Park

Our Touring Caravan Park and amenities are recognised as some of the best in Devon, we cater for motorhomes and touring caravans. All our touring pitches are on level terraced areas and we now have super pitches and hardstanding pitches open throughout the year.

We have pitches as close as 10 metres from the fishing lakes or if you prefer you can have beautiful views of the valley from the coombeland field. There are 30 acres of delightful parkland for those who love being close to nature but want convenience and comfort on holiday.

Dawlish Warren is only a walk away through our woodland trail and the veiws of the River Exe and Exmouth are breathtaking.

- New Super Pitches with water and waste connections, TV aerial and WiFi access point (charged separately)
- Hard Standing Pitches some with TV aerial and WiFi access point (charged separately)
- Grass Standard Pitches with electric, individually marked with ample awning space - pitches are allocated on arrival
- Electric hook-up in all areas
- Disabled pitches which are pre-bookable and provide a short level walk to the toilet and shower facilities
- RV pitches are pre-bookable Super Pitches with waste and water points, 10 meters wide with electric and large enough to take long vehicles
- Super Pitches & Hard Standing Pitches are all pre-bookable and suitable for Motorhomes & Caravans Only
- Please note we do not allow gazebos in peak season.

Campsite

At Cofton Country Holiday Park we have fantastic grass camping pitches to offer, all with electric hook up, with such a wide variety of space to choose from you'll be spoilt for choice. Cofton is popular for those looking for a short break or a week’s camping holiday in Dawlish South Devon.

We have the Orchard camping field where you can pitch up between the apple trees this is especially nice in the spring when they're all in blossom this is close to the take-away, arcade and the fishing lakes are only 40 meters away.

The oak field has great access to the fishing lakes you can pitch just a few meters from the gate.

In the peak season we open the Barn field which is at the top of the park many people prefer this area as it has very spacious pitches and great views over Devon.

Next to the swimming pool we have the 10Acre field which boasts 2 play areas the one in the woods has a zip line and assault course.

Our toilet and shower blocks are maintain to a very high standard and some have heating on in the winter months when it gets a bit chilly and our camp shop is open daily from 8.30am with everything from freshly baked bread to tent pegs.

Quality Holiday Homes

Cofton makes a beautiful Devon location for a Holiday Home rental in Devon, we have a wide range of choice which should meet every family size and budget. We let our Holiday Homes mainly on a Saturday to Saturday basis but if you keep you eye open we have some great Special Offers running in mid season where you can grab a short break Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday.

At Cofton we are very proud of our fleet of Holiday Homes, which have been designed around existing trees and bushes giving a spacious and formal layout. Most look out to pleasing views of our Devon and are handy for the park's central complex.

All holiday homes are modern and clean, are fully equipped and boast the highly acclaimed 2009 Rose Award grading.

Touring Caravan and Motorhome Rally

Cofton Country Holidays is a perfect location for a touring caravan or motorhome Rally in South Devon. With acres of accessible countryside surrounding the park there is a fantastic feeling of space. We have two areas we can set-aside for rallies and there is not a limit to the number of units we can take, we will welcome rallies of all sizes.

Open all year round we will be happy to try and accommodate you any time of year, unfortunately we cannot accept rallies during our peak six weeks at the end of July and during August. During quieter periods we are able to offer you use of our family lounge bar for private functions.

Our discounted rally rate is available to groups of 10 or more units with a minimum stay of 2 nights. This includes caravan (tent or motorhome), awning, electric and up to 5 people. For rallies between 10 and 19 units we allow one pitch free for the rally steward and for rallies of 20 or more units we allow two pitches for rally stewards.

The best Holiday this year

What was great?
Loved the dog walking field, loved being able to book a pitch, brilliant pitch nice and spacious it was pitch 17 on the hardstanding, an end pitch. The site is clean, all the facilities work and have recently been upgraded. The showers are numerous and clean, same for the toilets. The laundrette is brilliant, the powder and conditioner are included in the £4.00 wash price. Drying is extra. There is one machine that you can put your own powder in. There are 4 or 5 ironing boards with irons too. Showers are free, hairdryer is free but a bit feeble, but there are sockets so you can plug your own in. The facilities are fantastic, there are two outdoor pools, a sunbathing terrace, and indoor pool, gym and spa (extra charges for these). The shop stocks enough to see you through plus loads of gift bits and pieces. The restaurant, bar and cafe are all great, evening entertainment is good (only went the one night). The kids loved it. There is also an chippy onsite (its ok and handy) The fishing pools are lovely, the walk into Dawlish Warren is great its about 30-35 mins (we are quick strong walkers) The walk back is longer because its very steep, you cannot use the woodland walk to cycle to dawlish warren unless you are an accomplished mountain biker. The playgrounds are fabulous and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The best site we have ever stayed on!

Even better if....
There need to be a few more water taps about, and maybe another chemical waste point. There is rarely a queue its just a bit of a hilly trek. These in no way spoiled our holiday, I just felt it should be mentioned.

Family Camp site in Dawlish

What was great?
A family run campsite so all staff are willing to help, the place is clean, well maintained and generally a nice place to be! Lots of things for the kids to do including 2 play areas, a woodland activity play area, indoor and outdoor pool and amusements. We have been several times and will definitely be going again!

Great family venue that is properly accessible not just the bathrooms.

What was great?
Love that there is so much for everyone to do with both an indoor pool and outdoor pool. Everywhere was accessible in a buggy including going around the shop and the restaurant/pantry. We just keep going back as we can relax and know that everyone in the family is happy.

Even better if....
On a busy bank holiday the restaurant/pantry coped badly with very long waits for part of a tables order and then having to send the food back when it finally arrived. Sort these staff members out and you will have perfection.
