Welcome to Crannich Farm

We offer self catering holiday caravans & a small friendly campsite for motor-homes, campervans & touring caravans at Crannich Farm within 150 acres of farmland in Glen Aros near Loch Frisa on the Isle of Mull Argyll Scotland

The location is central on the island between Salen & Dervaig with great walks, panoramic views of the glen, walking distance to Loch Frisa and the rivers Aros, & Bellart with the Morvern hills in the distance . Quiet rural setting with good access, pet friendly with fantastic sunsets.
For birdwatching enthusiasts it is an ideal location situated within the territory of Skye & Frisa the famous pair of sea eagles featured on BBC Springwatch & Autumnwatch

Crannich is a working farm with highland cattle and horses. It adjoins thousands of acres of Forestry Commission land all of which is easily accessible for mountain biking or exploring on foot. The river Aros is a short walk for swimming and Loch Frisa is about a mile away for fishing and wildlife enthusiasts.
There is an abundance of wildlife around Glen Aros with golden eagles, white tailed eagles, hen harriers, barn owls amongst many other species of birds

Accommodation comprises of holiday caravans, each sleeping four people with own gardens & parking area . The campsite has 6 hard-standings with hookups, good quality wc/ shower unit, CDP & covered washing-up & clothes drying area.
'Hard standings' are nicely spaced overlooking a wildlife pond, with stunning views across the glen & down towards the Sound of Mull

The island is famous for its variety of wildlife and there are many opportunities to experience this on many of the fantastic trips or just by watching and discovering at your own pace . If you are looking for a relaxing break and nature watching at its best at an affordable price - this is the place for you………..

Holiday caravans to rent
We have holiday caravans which have similar facilities, set in their own grounds on land nearby the farmhouse and barns. Each caravan sleeps four people comfortably with two bedrooms, one double
and a twin.

There is a kitchen dining living area with gas cooker and oven, microwave, fridge freezer and TV / DVD player and gas fire.

The bathroom has hot shower hand basin and WC , and the twin room has facility to accommodate a cot which can be provided on request.

The bathroom and bedrooms all have electric heaters. All bed linen towels and tea towels are included apart from cot bedding. Gas and electric are inclusive.

Outside each caravan is a sitting area with a picnic table and garden . There is a fenced off pond which has been established to attract wildlife. There is good separation between the caravans which all have open views and each has its own parking space. Visiting Ducks and wildlife.

Touring Caravans

Small, quiet campsite exclusively for Motor Homes, Campervans and Touring Caravans.

Sorry, but no tents unless part of a Motorhome or Caravan booking

6 hard standings including hook-ups, high quality wc/shower unit, covered washing up and clothes drying area, drinking water grey water & CDP waste points.

Please note:
Caravan & motorhome owners are advised to bring heavy duty pegs for pitching awnings & gazebos on hardstandings
Pets by prior arrangement, dogs to be kept on leads at all times on the site & never left unattended
Payment on arrival cash or cheques only, please come to farmhouse to check in
Advanced bookings require upfront deposit - please enquire
Arrivals between 2pm & 8pm, late arrivals by prior arrangement, departure by 11am.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide disabled facilities at this time.
TV signal is not available on the site but you can receive satellite signal on most pitches if you bring your own dish and receiver and stand if needed.
