What was great?
We arrived at this site on a hideously rainy Friday night with 4 fed-up kids. Very quickly, we spied the pre-erected bell tent and opted to upgrade as we couldn't imagine being able to erect our own tent without it becoming sodden. The bell tent was great fun - tonnes of space and it kept us lovely and dry throughout the stormy night. In the morning, the sun shone - hooray. We found ourselves in a beautiful woodland glade with tonnes of space for the kids to explore and play. The fire pit was great: we bought some dry kindling and logs for £5 and toasted marsh-mallows for breakfast, followed by baked bananas and chocolate. Lovely and healthy! The site's facilities aren't extensive but the toilet was clean and the showers were warm, which was all that we required. Great access to the stunning beauty of the Dartmoor surroundings, too.

Even better if....
A spider-catcher in the bell tent would have been handy ;)
