What was great?
Great Site, very welcoming. This is our 2nd visit last time the new toilet block hadn't been built. Lovely views, close to the coast and Machynlleth, great pub down in Pennal. The toilet block is great, separate toilets from showers, (which are free) good outdoor washing up facility (under cover) freezer and laundry room. Great pitches, fire pits and benches throughout the site. Some good walks. Pony rides, good farm eggs at a good price, lovely friendly owner. Pitches at the top of the site drain well, and the tents seemed to be ok in the lower fields. Its a small site and was very busy but it wasn't noisy at all. Gas available on site. Have been twice now and would definitely go back. This is not a site to come to if you want all night entertainment, it is the site to come to if you want to kick back enjoy some walking, cycling or just chilling.

Even better if....
Nowhere to let the dog off but plenty of walking to be had, so not really a biggy. Main farmhouse looks a bit tatty but its a working farm with loads of farm buildings and that's just the way it is, I heard someone 'complain' about it but it didn't bother me. Its a bit of a steep drive out of the site if you are at the max of your towing load for your vehicle, it might be a bit interesting.
