What was great?
Booked on this site for a couple of days as we wanted a short break with the dogs, when booking on the phone I was greeted most warmly and told a pitch was available. Was going to arrive on Monday 08/07/2013 found the site easily and booked in at reception, was shown the pitch by very cheerful camp owners with a basic but common sense set of rules and a couple of maps of the surrounding area. The site looked and was very clean, toilets and showers were exceptional with all usual amenities including the shop laundry area and elsan point with family bathrooms for those with children. Our pitch was hard standing with grass side areas,as the weather was extremely warm and dry the ground was very hard, but I still managed to get my wind breakers up with the standard wooden poles. Most things are allowed including BBQ's but no Chinese lantern's and no loud music after dark which is quite understandable. The Solent is a 10 minute walk away through a nature walk where there is an adequate beach for those that do not expect too much,in the way of golden sands, here you get pebbles and sand but great for the dogs, also there are walks to the nearby villages and local pubs all on the provided map. Being a typical Brit I like my fish & chips and my curries, the camp owners supplied me with the information to a good fish chop and one of the best curry house's that I've had the pleasure to use being Tre's Bon and Forest tandoori respectively on the Milford Road.I shall definitely be keeping this as a favorite when I am in the New Forest area.
