What was great?
This site is one of the best we have stayed on. As you get to reception you meet Wayne who is so funny but very knowledgable and starts the holiday good. You pick your own pitch and we stayed on W59 the best on the site. Great views along the valley and lake. There is two shops on site one in reception that has the basics and one down near to the pubs next to the shore. On site is a pub which has a restaurant , shops, birds of prey centre

What was great?
This site is on a hill but most of the pitches are level. Some will need blocks so take some. The three disabled plots I saw were level and near to the toilet block. Two together and one to its side. There is a single disabled toilet with wide door and ramps. In the toilet blocks are sinks at a lower level and thre are also disabled showers with wider doors and a seat I the shower that folds up if not needed.

What a great place for walking dogs, there are lots of walks around the lake which can be from a couple of miles to 27 miles. The site is dog friendly and have poo bins all around the site.

They had maps for dog walking

There is a pub on site that does teas and cakes on site but for a good homely meal then go to the Anglers Arms in Kielder village. This is the local for people all around and has a good menu. Try the Kielder Kobbler and see if you can finish it. The bar also is dog friendly

This site has an indoor heated pool which is near to the lake. Warm and clean.

If you did not have to pay as this site is a little expensive

What was great?
You can walk around the lake in full which is 27 miles or you can do a couple of local walks around 5,6 and 7 miles just past the squirrel centre. Through open grounds and woodland.

No maps or local walks on maps just word of mouth
