Welcome to Limefitt Park

Limefitt Park is spectacularly located in one of Lakeland’s most beautiful valleys capturing the very spirit of the Lake District National Park.

Limefitt is a friendly place offering peace and tranquillity, surrounded by truly breathtaking scenery with spectacular and unspoilt surroundings. You will have direct access to the Lakeland fells where you will find an abundance of walks and wildlife. Limefitt features Lakeland stone buildings, mature trees and traditional stone walls. The valley rises steeply upwards to meet the peaks of Yoke, Froswick and High Street which dominate the landscape.

The Troutbeck stream runs through Limefitt Park, set against a spectacular backdrop and diverse terrain. Limefitt Park is a paradise not only for walkers and climbers but also for a whole host of other outdoor activities.

Limefitt on-park facilities include a fully equipped adventure playground where youngsters can delight in burning up surplus energy and a cosy Lakeland bar, ‘The Haybarn’, that assures you a warm welcome with a superb range of meals and a selection of Cumberland ales served for your enjoyment while staying at Limefitt Park.

The accommodation at Limefitt includes standard lodge accommodation, superior lodge accommodation and superior plus lodge accommodation. Lodge accommodation is available as a 2 bed or a 3 bed unit which sleep 4 and 6 respectively, which makes them a great choice for a family holiday in the Lake District.

Standard Holiday Lodges are traditional style holiday lodges which offer the basics for an enjoyable stay. Double Superior plus lodge accommodation is extra wide for larger families who want extra space and includes most of the same features as the other lodges, but with an array of additional features.

We have three types of traditional wooden lodges at Limefitt with all of the conveniences a Lake District location requires - heating for cosy nights after a day on the fells, double glazing in case we experience some liquid sunshine, and plenty of space to relax, inside and out. Are you a group, family, couple, outdoor enthusiast or someone who simply wants to sit on the balcony and soak up the scenery? All of you will find a lodge that’s just right for you here at Limefitt.

Kirkstone 3 at Limefitt Park

This new style three bedroom spacious lodge with double glazing and gas central heating, providing high quality self-catering accommodation. Situated at the top of the park, the lodge has the benefit of stunning views over Troutbeck and the surrounding hills.

Kirkstone 5 at Limefitt Park

Kirkstone 5 is a luxurious holiday lodge in one of the most sought after locations on the picturesque Limefitt park. It is one of only a handful of the lodges that benefits from an elevated position, providing outstanding views from the patio and privacy as it is not overlooked. The lodge has full gas central heating, French doors onto the sun deck and a separate utility room with a washer/dryer. Both bedrooms have en suite facilities.

Owl Lodge has an open plan lounge and dining area, with a feature fireplace, sofa, armchair, oak coffee table, and oak dining table with four chairs. French doors open out onto the west-facing decking area; perfect for that evening drink whilst taking in the views. A 32" Panasonic LCD TV with Freeview and built in dvd player is mounted above the fireplace, and a music centre with DAB radio, CD player and i-pod dock ensure that all guests’ entertainment needs are met. We leave a selection of CDs, DVDs and guidebooks for visitors’ use.
Kitchen
The lodge kitchen is fully fitted with gas hob and oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave all built in. A large toaster, kettle and coffee maker are also provided.
Bedroom One
The main bedroom contains a full size double bed, TV with Freeview and DVD player, and plenty of storage space. It also benefits from an en-suite with shower, basin and toilet.
Bedroom Two
The second bedroom is a cosy twin bedded room with built in wardrobe and storage. A bed rail is available for young children.
Bathroom
The main bathroom comprises a large walk-in shower, toilet and basin.
Outside
The lodge has extensive elevated decking to the front (west) and side (south). A table, chairs and benches are provided (with seat covers) and the views at the front of the lodge are stunning! To the rear is open access onto woodland; deer are seen regularly and badgers can be enticed at nightfall with peanut butter sandwiches!
Parking
Parking for two cars is available immediately outside the lodge.
Extras
Owl Lodge benefits from a heating system which protects the water supply from frost; this, and the central heating, makes it a wonderful cosy choice for that weekend away in the winter when the fells are topped with snow.There are thirteen steps leading to Owl Lodge making it unsuitable for people with restricted mobility.

Pinewood 25 at Limefitt Park

Owl Lodge provides luxury accommodation for up to four people. The lodge benefits from a quiet, elevated setting, so it is not overlooked and backs onto woodland, the home of deer and badgers. It has wonderful views of Troutbeck Valley from its extensive decking and from the lounge windows.

The lodge has full central heating and double glazing ensuring a cosy holiday no matter which season you choose to visit.

Pinewood 30 at Limefitt Park

Stunning single superior plus lodge, pet friendly with stunning views from the large decking.

Applethwaite 10 at Limefitt Park

Hillview Lodge is a beautifully presented 2 bedroom lodge with superb views of the Troutbeck Valley. Tastefully refurbished to a very high standard in 2011; the lodge has excellent references and many repeat bookings.

It features in all of the Limefitt Park brochures and on the website and features include a 32" television and a dishwasher, as well as brand new furnishings/ fittings and equipment. Comments include "the best privately owned lodge we have ever stayed in" and many guests comment on seeing badgers and deer in the gardens around the lodge.

With comfortable seating for at least 4 adults, the dual-aspect living room enjoys valley views to both sides. French doors lead out onto the south-facing decking, where the sun can be enjoyed throughout the day. Inside, there is a 32" flat screen television and DVD player, as well as a cosy 'wood-burner effect' electric stove, for chillier autumn and winter nights! The comfortable leather sofa and armchair are certain to keep you happy, whether you're reading a book, watching the television, playing a game, or just relaxing!!!
Kitchen
The lodge's kitchen is fully equipped with ALL neccessary holiday cottage appliances. Including all cutlery, kitchen tools and appliances and crockery, pots and pans, there is also a microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer and that all important dishwasher!! There is also a compact dining table and four chairs which can be tucked away when not in use. You could, of course, sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and views
Bedroom One
The double bedroom, with garden views, is very homely and deceptively spacious, with plenty of wardrobe space and tasteful decorations matching the bed linen, which is provided and changed before your arrival.
Bedroom Two
The twin bedroom, like the double, is finished to a high standard with views to the garden also. It is very comfortable and adequate for both adults or children. Again, there is plenty of wardrobe space for clothes and cases! It is just next to the bathroom and the cream carpet matches the tasteful decor.
Bathroom
Recentlty modernised (in spring 2011), the bathroom has all the features one would expect of a bathroom! With a bath and superb shower, it is just what is needed to relax at the end and the start of the day!
Outside
There is ample parking for 1-2 cars and further parking available. The gardens around the lodge attract a range of wildlife from a huge variety of garden birds, to rabbits, badgers and deer. The decked area is great for sitting/eating outside and as the lodge is positioned fairly high up in comparison to the surrounding lodges, it enjoys very good views.

Wansfell 9 at Limefitt Park

38' x 20' PEC Hamilton Superior Plus 2 Bedroom Lodge on the edge of the park in the new Wansfell development with south facing aspect and fabulous views of the fells surrounding the Troutbeck valley. Short walk to the park shop, children's play area and the Haybarn pub & restaurant.
