There are 2 small supermarkets 3 miles away in East Calder and a large shopping centre at Livingston (5 miles) with Asda, Morrison's, Sainsbury's, Marks and Spencers, Debenhams etc etc....

Most people bring their own, as unfortunately, we are not within walking distance of a pub.

There is a small Market at Bathgate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and a larger one at East Fortune, East Lothian on a Sunday. Edinburgh has a great Farmers' Market every Saturday and another interesting Market - food and crafts in Stockbridge every Sunday.

There are great walks direct from Linwater to the Union Canal and Almondell Country Park.

The Grapes in East Calder, Black Bull in Mid Calder and the Ratho Park Carvery on the A71. For more special occasions, the Bridge Inn at Ratho, beside the Canal is an award winning pub and well worth a visit - you can even walk there along the Canal from the Park - approx. 3 miles. There are lots of other restaurants at tthe Centre in Livingston. All our local takeaways deliver direct to the Park - Fish and Chips, Chinese, Indian and Dominoes Pizzas, so you will never starve.

There are various small garages around and main dealers are in Edinburgh

Either at Lizzie Bryce roundabout as you go into Livingston, and there is also a Petrol Station at Morrison's in Livingston. There is another one at the Newbridge junction, J1 of the M9.

Nearest Doctors' surgery is in East Calder and there is also full A and E at St John's Hospital in Livingston

Edinburgh is the main attraction - from the Park and Ride at Ingliston beside the Airport where you can park for free and take the tram into the city centre - motorhomes welcome. The Royal Highland Showground, Rosslyn Chapel, Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies are also not far.

Edinburgh is the best which can be reached by tram from the Park and Ride at Ingliston beside the Airport. Royal Highland Showground, Rosslyn Chapel, Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies are all with reach too.
