A local market takes place every Tuesday, in Newton Aycliffe town centre.

There are several great places to walk your dog near the campsite, however my favorite is a walk down the old railway line. Leave the site via the railway bridge, cross over the road, you will see a silver gate to your right. This is a great place to walk or cycle. Have fun!

Oak Leaf Complex bar offer a wide selection of meals from their main menu and specials board, or if you just fancy a quick snack, they have a great choice of sandwiches, toasties and paninis.

The nearest petrol station is less than a mile away on St Cuthbert's Way, located on the industrial estate.
