It is a beautiful 5 Star static caravan holiday home and touring park amidst 80 acres of parkland graced by a 15 acre private fishing lake and exclusive 9 hole golf course.

Static caravan holiday homes at Pearl Lake offer a relaxing lifestyle throughout the season. Be active and play golf or bowls, or just relax with a sunset on the lake and a glass of wine.

Touring caravans and camping

Touring at Pearl Lake is an ideal opportunity to explore the Marches Towns, 'black & white' villages, castles, hills and rivers of Herefordshire, or just relax and enjoy the on-park facilities.
It is a beautiful 5 Star static caravan holiday home and touring park amidst 80 acres of parkland graced by a 15 acre private fishing lake and exclusive 9 hole golf course.

We have 15 touring pitches, all of which are level hard standings with grass for your awning (the touring area is situated close to the road, so please consider this if you are using a tent). All of the pitches are full service pitches with individual 16 amp electricity, cabled TV aerial, water and waste water points.

The modern and heated toilet and shower facilities are situated adjacent to the pitches and include men & ladies toilets and showers, a washroom for disabled visitors, washing-up facilities, a chemical disposal point, dog wash, a laundry including washing machine, tumble dryer, spin dryer, iron & ironing board and a baby changing station.

The park has been awarded a 5 star rating by the Tourist Board and we recently won Caravan Park of the Year Award, of which the whole team are very proud. We look forward to showing you all we have to offer.

There is a 9 hole golf course and a beautifully stocked 15 acre fishing lake both exclusively for people staying at Pearl Lake. We also have a crown bowling green, and some bowls for you to use. The rural woodland walks are plentiful and there is plenty of space to exercise any dogs.

Village shops are conveniently close-by and you can choose from our on-park restaurant or country pubs to treat yourself.

All of this is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and we are proud of our Gold 'David Bellamy Awards' for conservation and wildlife preservation.

Keepers self catering cottage sleeps up to 6 people and is located alongside our private golf course on a secluded part of the park surrounded by beautiful unspoilt scenery.

Holiday Home Ownership

It is a beautiful 5 Star static caravan holiday home and touring park amidst 80 acres of parkland graced by a 15 acre private fishing lake and exclusive 9 hole golf course.

Each holiday home comes with a spacious pitch, car parking space, patio and storage bunker. The services have been updated over the last few years and include electricity, water and waste water, piped LPG gas, cabled TV aerial with freeview channels accessed with a digi-box and the option of a BT landline. You even have the option of a balcony.

The park has been awarded a 5 star rating by the Tourist Board and we recently won Caravan Park of the Year Award, of which the whole team are very proud. We look forward to showing you all we have to offer

Your peace of mind will be assured at Pearl Lake Leisure Park. Leave all of the chores to us. The grass is mown, the hedges clipped and all of the maintenance around the park, and especially your new holiday home, is taken care of.

Absolutely everything is thought of - you really can leave your worries behind you when you come to stay, giving you a quality of life you have only imagined. Village shops are conveniently close-by and you can choose from our on-park restaurant or country pubs to treat yourself.

Exclusive On-park Facilities:

Golf Course
Our golf course is 9 hole, 2200 yards with 3 par 3's, 5 par 4's and 1 par 5. The longest hole is over 400 yards and the course is ideal for both those who have just taken up golf, or the more experienced golfer. There are gentlemen and ladies golfing societies for those who wish to participate in competitions and a smart presentation evening at the end of the season. Locally there are many 18 hole courses including the infamous Kington Golf Club, reputedly the highest golf course in the UK with 360 degree views.

Crown Bowling Green
The crown bowling green is somewhere you can really relax and wile away those summer evenings. The green has "character" and can be quite testing. Bring your own woods and challenge your friends, or join in the competitions played throughout the season.

Fishing Lake
Fishing on Pearl Lake offers something for every angler. There are many Perch that are ideal for the young fisherman or the beginner, a few Roach, some excellent Tench (9-10lb), Pike & Carp. We have a society who organise a few Sunday morning contests (including one junior contest) and an excellent end of season party.

Restaurant & Bar
Fancy a drink or something to eat? Then the on-site Lakeside Bar & Restaurant is for you, run by James and Bev Moss, this has recently been refurbished. It's open every week-end and also mid-week during the Easter, Whitsun and school summer holidays. On Bank Holiday Saturdays and at other occasional times entertainment is sometimes provided, such as a local duo or group. If you prefer something different, the village pub offers excellent cuisine just a short walk away, or there are many pubs and award-winning restaurants in the locality, including Ludlow's famous Michelin star eateries.

For the children or grandchildren that visit, swings and a slide, climbing frame and see-saw, table tennis and football are just some of the activities on site. From time to time parents organise events such as a sports day and Halloween party.

As you might have gathered, there is a great community spirit here. However, for those who just want to relax there are great views and plenty of space for that peace and quiet.

Woodland and Wildlife
We also have a large woodland with many paths. If you are quiet you might see one of the Deer that come down out of Mortimer Forest, or much of the other wildlife such as rabbits, squirrels and numerous birds that are around. The walks are relatively flat and provide pleasant walking for everyone (including dog owners). The woodland surrounds half of our large, 15 acre lake which is spring fed and was formed naturally many thousands of years ago. It is home to a pair of Swans and their cygnets, Moorhens, Great Crested Grebes, Coots, Mallards, Tufted Ducks and many more bird species.

Local Area

As well as the walk around the lake and woodland, there are many local footpaths and the Mortimer Trail and Offa's Dyke are not far away. Horse riding is also available at the other end of the village.

There is a regular bus service to the nearby market towns of Leominster and Presteigne (the bus stop is right next to the park entrance). Leominster is only 15 minutes by car, has a railway station, bus station, a good selection of supermarkets, plenty of antique shops, Lion Gallery, Priory Church and Museum.

Shobdon Village
Being situated on the edge of Shobdon village gives us plenty of advantages. The excellent village shop and Post Office, just a 5 min walk away, is open 7 days a week and sells a wide range of groceries, newspapers and videos and has a cash point. The village garage and hairdresser are even closer.

Shobdon is unusual in that there is a local airfield which not only offers flying, gliding and helicopter lessons, but also can provide an interesting afternoon's entertainment for the spectator.

The Church, recently visited by Prince Charles, is one of only two Strawberry Gothic churches in the world and has the nearby Arches and visitor centre.
