What was great?
Point sands is in an outstanding location, very peaceful and the local scenery is fantastic. It is right on the shore and you can see the Island of Gigha. The weather was great (which I am sure helped) but it is an ideal location to visit Gigha which has some truly magnificent beaches. However, it is right next to a great beach which is also great for the kids.''Everything was clean and modern which helped us have a great stay and all of the pitches were flat.''It is a quiet site with no noise at night so if you are looking for a restful and relaxing trip then I would recommend it.

Even better if....
The cubicles in the toilets were a little small but were adequate and wouldn’t put me off going back.

What was great?
DO not take your kids or teens here unless you are prepared for them to be shouted at for playing. The ideal group for this place should be childless / elderly. Also do not listen to their face book page they removed bad reports and banned us from the page even thou there was a group attacking us on their page. I guess they were the same people who shouted at the kids. I have been attending this site for 10 years since my kids were very young up till now when they are all teens, I have traveled both with groups of friends and with a close family. When we first started coming here it was a fantastic site the lady and gent running the shop couldn't be more helpful, however the new people now running this site changed our feelings of it. BAD points of this place They delete negative reports on their page hence the reason I'm reporting them here I was asked to move my car from one side of my tent to the other at around 8 30 PM I at that time had had a few drinks and informed the manager that I in fact could not drive my car, she got very pushy and insisted I move the car while there were young children running about the site. The reason that I had to move my car was because another camper had pitched too close to me in a spot that was for the childrens play area and not a camping spot … (I did not move my car as I didn't deem myself capable) this is when our real problems and personal attacks started, mainly from other campers. some dog owners leave their dogs mess lying on the grass and beach where young children play. There were 2 instances where other campers were abusive towards my children I'm sure it wasn't only my children who were verbally attacked From value point of view this site is very expensive ( this happened when the new people started running the shop) … we found that there was a site 10 mins further on that would have cost our family £13 a night less to top off all of this rubbish when we returned home we found pictures of a tent that we had put in the bin (it was neatly placed in the bin but a flap was blown out by the wind) we were called disgusting even thou there was not so much as a sweetie paper anywhere else in the site and all of our rubbish (including a tent that was damaged in the rain and wind) was placed in the bins provided We found the management to be snobbish but worse than that we found the other campers to be aggressive towards our children GOOD points for this site beach, scenery and sunsets ,,, all of which can be found in any other campsite round that coast (and for cheaper) the full coast is stunning and there is at least 10 other sites including some wild camping spots.
