What was great?
the sense of space and tranquility are the first things you notice upon arrival at this site. There are plenty of grassy areas which are left unpopluated by caravans or tents - the field on the family area can be used for ball games - great to entertain children and we find more and more sites are banning such activities on site! The walk from the site into the small village of Greetham is an enjoyable one and very dog friendly. There is a choice of pubs varying in price where foodo is served. The site is also handy for trips to Rutland Water, Oakham and other pretty villages.

Even better if....
when the wind was blowing in a certain direction a smell was evident from the toilet block - only really noticeable on the pitches close to the block. Not sure if the septic tank was due to be emptied and it was Bank Holiday so it was busy on site

What was great?
Onsite restaurant was good and reasonably priced and catered for Coeliacs.

Even better if....
Didn't lie about agreeing to allow my son to sleep in his tent outside our camper. We were charged double for 2 nights and therefore forced to end holiday early to avoid further double charging. Also charged my wife another £15 on top as punishment before they would allow us to leave the security gated site. The stay cost us £115 for 2 nights. Disgraceful. We tolerated the scruffy site and closely pitched plots as we needed a site near Rutland Water but any site is better than this.
