Welcome to Scoutscroft Holiday Centre

Situated in the picturesque Borders village of Coldingham, it is unrivalled locally in its position, within a few minutes walk from the safe sandy beach of Coldingham Bay and also nearby scenic fishing village of St Abbs which is recognised as one of the top diving locations in the world. Also within walking distance is Coldingham Priory which was founded by Edgar king of Scotland in 1097 and is of great religious signifance.

Due to our unique geographical location, all major road and rail links are available, making us easily accessible to everyone.

On arrival at Scoutscroft Holiday Centre, the reception is conveniently located at the entrance of the park.Friendly helpful staff are always available to assist you and any queries, tourist information or problems are promptly dealt with.

Our letting Holiday Homes are centrally located in Drake Park. All are attractively positioned and numbered to enable you to find and park your vehicle adjacent to your accommodation. Our street lighting provides a well lit area.

Holiday Homes are available throughout the season (March-November) and are fully equipped with a spacious lounge, colour TV, DVD, toilet and shower, fully fitted and equipped kitchen including microwave. Bedrooms are all heated and equipped with pillows, duvets, duvet covers and sheets.

Touring Pitches

Toilets, Showers, Laundry

There is a laundry on the park, you can purchase washing tokens from reception or any of our bars at a cost of £3.00. There are also tumble dryers, ironing and hand washing facilities available.

The toilet and shower facilities are heated for extra comfort, with a separate family/disabled room including a small bath and baby changing area. These facilities are locked and require a £10.00 deposit for the key.

Parking

Please park tow bars on the numbered slabs, facing the centre road.

Television Aerials

Television booster aerials are available for hire, from reception or any of our bars for a £10.00 deposit.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Dog fouling must be cleaned up and dog bins are located around the park.

Your accommodation is available from 3.00pm on day of arrival.

Chalet

Our double-glazed and centrally heated chalet is modern and tastefully decorated, it consists of 1 double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms.

It has a fully fitted and equipped kitchen including microwave, fridge freezer and a dining room. The lounge is equipped with a digital tv, dvd player and a music system with CD player. A flat screen TV/DVD is provided in the master bedroom. The bathroom is fitted with a full size bath/shower and toilet, and also for your convenience there is a seperate second toilet. All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided.

There are views down the park from the fully decked veranda and outdoor garden furniture is provided for your comfort.

The Chalet is our only unit that is available all year round. This unit does not accommodate pets.

Park Rules

For the convenience of our guests, we reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation, where unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking form or their guests might affect the enjoyment of others.

For insurance purposes all our accommodation can cater for up to 6 people maximum. If we suspect that there are more than the maximum amount of people in any holiday home/chalet, we reserve the right to inspect the premises and terminate the holiday.

We do not allow tents/gazebos among the touring/static park.

Any tent that is pitched illegally will be removed.

A maximum of 2 cars only are permitted outside each unit.

Any boats must be stored in our storage area.

Scoutscroft Holiday Centre is an ideal venue for any sized event, meeting, conference or exhibition. Our Sun Lounge can comfortably seat small groups and our function room can cater for larger numbers.

Eating and Drinking

Crofters Bar

Crofters Bar has a traditional pub atmosphere and is where you can enjoy a quiet drink during our off-season period and watch live sporting events throughout the season.

Central heating for the colder nights ensures a cosy relaxing atmosphere. In the summer months sit out on our patio area and enjoy a drink and bar meal in the sun.

Scooties Bar & Sun Lounge

The Bar/Sun Lounge is at the centre of Scoutscroft Holiday complex. Comfortable seating for over one hundred and forty it provides plenty of space to relax in.

Family entertainment is provided throughout the season with a wide variety of live acts.

Alternatively you can enjoy a quiet drink in our sun lounge.

The Tasty Plaice

Our modern takeaway provides a selection of favourites including locally caught fresh fish, pizza and kebabs.

Open all year round with restricted hours early and late in the season.

Restaurant

The menu offers a varied selection of new and traditional dishes and using local produce including freshly caught St Abbs seafood ensures quality with every meal!

With it's cosy bar and space for sixty diners it's the ideal place to begin and end your day at Scoutscroft.

Explore

The surrounding area is one of beautiful beaches, bustling coastal resorts, fishing villages, market towns and many local beauty spots. Only 3 miles away is the fishing port of Eyemouth where there is a Swimming Pool as well as many other facilities.

The nearest large town is Berwick Upon Tweed. Noted for its historic interest and Market Days (Wed and Sat), Berwick is a bustling border town at the mouth of the River Tweed. For a taste of city life, the festival city of Edinburgh is only 44 miles away and can be reached well within the hour.

Coldingham is a quiet, picturesque Border village with small pubs, grocery shop and one garage. The Coldingham Priory which is of great religious significance is situated nearby. The Priory, which is being excavated, was founded by Edgar, King of Scotland in 1097.

Also nearby is the scenic fishing village of St. Abbs,recognised as one of the top diving locations in the world and where boats can be launched by arrangement with the Harbour Master. Coldingham Loch, one of the most famous trout fishing lochs in Scotland is situated on the outskirts of the village.

Directions

From the South on the A1, head up the A1107 and turn off at the Eyemouth junction. Stay on the A1107 until you reach the village of Coldingham. Take the B6438 heading towards St Abbs. On route, Scoutscroft Holiday Centre is situated on the right hand side.

From the North, stay on the A1 until you reach the Reston junction. Take the B6438 into the village of Coldingham, stay on the B6438 heading towards St Abbs. On route, Scoutscroft Holiday Centre is situated on the right hand side.

Nice little setup

What was great?
This site is in a small village called Coldingham between Berwick and Edinbrough. The sand and sea are on five minutes walk and in a beautiful bay. There are two pubs in the village and one on site. All serve meals. We had a plot right next to a stream which was great. Although it does attract the kids. Due to not being able to get any reception on the tv a plug in next to the van works well. Take your own cable as the ones on site get run over by the lawn mower .

Even better if....
A little close to the next caravan.
