Welcome to Spencers Fruit Farm Certificated Site

We have a certified camping and caravanning site which is open all year round - weather dependant. It is a small sheltered grass site about 150 yards from the Farm Shop, where there are shower facilities.

We have electric hook-ups for 5 caravans, plus elsen disposal and drinking water on site.

The site is 5 minutes walk from the village pub, 5 miles from market towns of Sudbury & Halstead and on a bus route to these towns that runs hourly.

Pick Your Own

Since first growing "Pick Your Own" fruit in 1973, our range of PYO fruit and vegetables has grown considerably. We are particularly proud of our "Table Top Strawberries" grown at waist height for ease of picking!

Local Attractions

Hedingham Castle - A visit to the castle and its beautiful grounds is ideal for a family outing, and during the summer there are a variety of special events which bring its colourful history alive. Come and enjoy one of our exciting Jousting Tournaments or other entertainments.

Colne Valley Railway - Sample the atmosphere and take a ride on an award winning period country railway. A pretty line, relocated station buildings, signal boxes and bridges all lovingly restored and rebuilt.

Thomas Gainsboroughs House - The museum and art gallery at the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough.

Constable Country - 30mins away

£8 per night for site only.

£10 for site with hook-up.

Directions

General Location:
We are located in North Essex, England, between the towns of Sudbury and Halstead.
We are about 15 miles West of Colchester and about 25 miles East of Stansted.

Directions from Halstead
Leave Halstead along the A131, heading North towards Sudbury. Take the 5th left, (after about 3 miles), to Wickham St Pauls. The Farm in located just before you reach the village, on the right hand side of the road.

Directions from Sudbury
Leave Sudbury along the A131, heading South towards Halstead. At Bulmer Tye, take the exit on the right just after the "Fox" Pub, Signposted Castle Hedingham. This takes you onto the B1058. Take the first left, signposted Wickham St Paul. Go on to the village, and continue straight through; you will find us on the left, just as you are leaving the village.
