What was great?
we attended The Practical caravan readers rally , as we have done for the last 4 years , we have always thoroughly enjoyed our stay , they have an indoor pool , a large grass area for kids to play , a mini supermarket , caravan accessory shop and caravan sales with lots of vans to view , they also have a fish n chip shop , bar and restaurant , entertainment in the evening , I found the drinks expensive , staff are friendly ,

Even better if....
there were people behind us with dogs running loose , also there kids playing football , but the warden did tell the kids to play in the play field , but they went on the Sunday , which left a nice grass area , so the children up the top decided to have a football match behind our caravan , watched by there doting parents , the best bit was they were pitched in there tents , right next to the playing field , so I had to go to reception to report it , but it fell on deaf ears , the next day the same thing , I did record the game on video in case of damage to my unit , also there is no mobile phone signal on the pitches in the event of an emergency you would have to run around to reception , when I go again I shall as for a pitch backing onto hedge

What was great?
Loved the whole place and really like having everthing like horse riding, swimming pool, crazy golf and pub, restaurant and take away all so nearby. Also quite disabled friendly.

Even better if....
Sadly not disabled friendly in swimming pool as no gradual steps or disabled hoist for those unable to use a ladder and no disabled changing facilities in the pool area. Our other worry was the speed traffic (including staff vehicles) travell around site. Signs state 10mph but that is never observed. We would be afraid for the little ones and think speed ramps on all roads are the only answer.

What was great?
Large size pitches with hook up, toilets always clean and plenty available,nice quiet site with plenty to do, the indoor pool is large and heated as you would expect, the bars & restaurants are spacious and are great for young children with activities most nights.

Even better if....
you need to pay extra for the use of the swimming pool

What was great?
First time at the site and the pitch was a very large. Booking in was well organised and was given a booklet upon arrival. It fitted my 6 man tunnel tent across with space for a car either side. There was loads to do on-site including pony riding, crazy golf, swimming etc All the pitches seemed to have electric which was great. The site is huge...having said that it is laid out very well and it doesn't feel like a massive site. All in all very happy, stowford is a very friendly clean and safe site.

Even better if....
There were site rules but they didn't seem to be policed so people were playing cricket on pitches for example.

What was great?
Plenty to do on this vast site. The kids were properly tired by bedtime, which makes mummy very happy! We loved 'Petorama' - lots of hands-on fun for the kids and, although my skills are poor, the golf was fun too. There are loads of children's play areas on site: all well maintained and safe and great beaches were really close.

Even better if....
It had been a bit warmer - need to pack my hot water bottle next time!

What was great?
Very safe site with good play areas for the kids. We took our grandchildren there for just a couple of days and they loved the swimming pool and crazy golf.

Even better if....
The Petorama area was shut for 2 weeks so could not do the petting part and the soft play area was also shut.

great for kids and dogs, has lots of things going on

brilliant toilet facilities
