What was great?
Peace & tranquillity abound. We arrived about 6 pm with only a couple of pitches left. Chose one and set up. Immediately you were aware of a sense of peace, the birdsong drowned any noise created by the children and dogs on site. Great showers (hot & powerful - variable). In the middle of a wood I wasn't expecting brilliant TV reception, but the rooftop omnidirectional one worked fine. Their website lists all the local attractions so there's no need to list them here, but to be honest you didn't need them if you just wanted a relaxed weekend. You may have to get involved with the farm animals though, as we had to shepherd (or whatever it is you do to cattle) some young calves off the lane and out of the way of our caravan.

Even better if....
Slightly cramped male WC cubicle was made a little larger (door was only a couple of inches from the toilet seat when opened). Items marked down were activities & child & dog friendliness - the only thing lacking was imagination, but that had to be provided by the campers. Just one thing, the website states 'the site is not suitable for tents'. sign on noticeboard, states 'No tents'.
