Welcome to Tehidy Holiday Park

Tehidy Holiday Park is a family owned and run multi-award winning site. Set in the lovely wooded Tolskithy Valley in safe, stunning surroundings. Located in Central Cornwall near broad sandy beaches and hidden coves, between St Ives and St Agnes. Tehidy is the ideal setting for convenient access to the all that Cornwall has to offer.

Tehidy Holiday Park is rated as a Visit England 4 star and an AA 4 pennant holiday park in Cornwall. We provide a full range of holiday accommodation including self catering caravans, cottages, camping/ touring and wigwam glamping cabins. Thoughtfully set in their own areas with clean, modern facilities. We are situated in a World Heritage Site with views of the surrounding countryside. Tehidy is a stress-free base from which to explore Cornwall’s spectacular coastline, sandy beaches and premier tourist attractions.

Park Facilities

Organised in tiers on the side of the attractive wooded Tolskithy Valley, Tehidy Holiday Park is unique in its setting. It blends into the surrounding Cornish countryside, has convenient access to woodland walks, cycle routes, beaches, traditional pubs and swimming pools. Many other attractions and amenities are only minutes away.

Within Tehidy Holiday Park there is a large children’s play area which includes a trampoline, swings, table tennis and a small climbing frame. We have a small shop/off licence (once the blacksmith’s forge for the tin miners’ ponies) and a payphone. The games room (log cabin) has a television, table football and a pool table. It is also a WiFi hot spot and has useful environmental and tourist information displays.

The modern shower facilities have a separate room for the disabled and families with a child under 3 years. There is also a launderette and a dish washing room which includes a freezer for ice packs.

Tehidy Holiday Park has an intimate feel, being arranged in small areas, with flower beds, wildlife areas, hedging, shrubs and a small orchard. Picnic benches and bbq bases are provided around the site.

Self Catering Holidays

We offer a choice of self-catering holiday cottages and caravan accommodation. Which ever you choose you can be assured they will be cleaned to a very high standard and are well equipped. There is a shower room, kitchen, heating, TV with freeview, seating and dining area.

Q. Is Tehidy suitable for families?

Q. Is Tehidy suitable for single people or couples?
A. Tehidy is a small park, with a relaxed atmosphere, in a great location. Don’t forget to let us know if you have any special requirements.

Q. Do you allow bbq’s
A. Picnic benches and bbq slabs are conveniently placed. Disposable bbq’s, charcoal and lighter blocks are available in the shop.

Q. Do we have to pay for water and electricity?
A. All costs are included in the hire charge.

Q. What do we need to bring?
A. Duvets and pillows are provided. Bed linen can be ordered from us prior to arrival. However, if you prefer to bring your own, you will need to bring a bottom sheet, duvet cover and pillow cases. You will also need towels and tea towels. We provide washing up liquid, sponge and a toilet roll to get you started.

Q. What is in a caravan?
A. All the caravans have a well equipped kitchen, shower, WC, sitting and dining area and bedrooms, storage cupboards and freeview TV.

Q. Do the Holiday Caravans and Cottages have heating?
A. All caravans and cottages are heated.

Q. Do you have a laundry?
A. There is a laundry with 3 washing machines, 2 tumble driers and ironing facilities. Rotary driers and washing lines are provided.

Q. Is the site suitable for wheelchair users?
A. Please note the site is set on the side of a valley and does have inclines for which wheelchair users/ those with disabilities may require assistance to access some facilities.

Touring & Camping Park

We welcome touring caravans, motorhomes and tents at Tehidy Holiday Park in Cornwall. All are well catered for in thoughtfully planned areas. Mixed hedging and well maintained trees provide shelter and areas for wildlife ensuring that the park blends into its natural setting. Our camping utility points are unobtrusively housed in wooden surrounds and are conveniently placed.

All touring and camping pitches come with electric hook-up and most are hedged or fenced to give you your own private “snug”. Areas are set aside for picnic benches as family/ communal ‘get together’.

The shower block is clean and modern. It includes a laundry room with ironing facilities and a dish washing room with a freezer for ice packs.

A. All pitches have electric hook up if required. You will need to bring a standard camping 3 pin weather proof lead.

Q. Do you take motorhomes?
A. When you book a motorhome pitch through the online booking system please book it under caravan.

Q. Are facilities convenient?
A. Drinking water, grey water and chemical disposal points, rubbish and recycling facilities are convenient for each area.

Q. Do we have to pay for showers?
A. Showers are free. The shower block is no more than approximately 100m from the furthest pitch.

Q. Do you have a dish washing area?
A. The modern shower block has an indoor dish washing room with hot and cold water, it also has a freezer for ice packs.

Q. Do you have a laundry?
A. There is a laundry with 3 washing machines, 2 tumble driers and ironing facilities. Many campers dry their clothes on a rotary drier outdoors.

Q. Is the site suitable for wheelchair users?
A. Please note the site is set on the side of a valley and does have inclines for which wheelchair users/ those with disabilities may require assistance to access some facilities.

Glamping Holidays in our Wigwam Cabins

The superb, warm and comfortable wigwam camping cabins are designed to sleep up to 5 people. The Tehidy Holiday Park Wigwams are built in Scotland for year round use, so a bit of Cornish weather won’t worry them, or you!

Q. What is a Wigwam?

A. Our wigwam cabins have comfortable seating which convert to raised sleeping platforms. Our fully insulated wigwams have heating, lighting, electric sockets, freeview TV, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and storage boxes. Outside there is a decked area with lighting, log seats, a picnic bench and bbq. A communal cooking shelter, drinking water and rubbish/ recycling facilities are close by.

Q. What do we need to bring?
A. You’re preparing for luxury camping – without a tent. You’ll need to bring sleeping bags/ bedding, cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery, pans, towels and tea towels.

Q. Do you pay for electricity separately?
A. Electricity is included in the cost of the wigwam.

Q. Do we have to pay for showers?
A. All costs are included. The shower block is approximately 75m from the wigwams.

Q. Do you have a dish washing area?
A. The modern shower block has an indoor dish washing room with hot and cold water.

Directions

Tehidy Holiday Park is located in Central West Cornwall, approximately half way between St Ives and St Agnes near the coast. Being central the excellent road connections ensure you can reach all of Cornwall with ease.

By car

Take the A30 towards Redruth. Take exit signed Portreath and Porthtowan. On roundabout turn right to Portreath. At crossroads turn left, drop down through North Country to B3300 crossroads, straight over, up hill past the Cornish Arms public house. Tehidy Holiday Park is approx 300m on left after 30mph sign.
