A paradise for walkers and cyclists

Set in six acres of glorious countryside, our awardwinning Club Site at Teversal is
opposite Silverhill Wood Country Park, with direct access to the Teversal trails and miles
of walking and cycling paths, many of which follow former colliery railway lines.
There are many other attractions in the area too.
The market towns of Chesterfield and Mansfield are within easy reach, Crich Tramway
Village near the National Tramway Museum, and for some high-wire excitement you can
take on the Go Ape! adventure course in Sherwood Forest.
Hardwick Hall, Chatsworth House, Newstead Abbey, the National Watersports Centre and
all the glories of the Peak District, including the caverns, paths and breathtaking views of
The Heights of Abraham, are also easily accessible.

Escape the urban jungle and enjoy a Club Glamping experience in Teversal Club Site’s magnificent Safari Tent. This is more than glamorous camping it’s luxury camping under canvas.

Whether you’re a first time camper (or glamper) or simply want to try a different outdoor experience we think you will be right at home in our luxury Safari tent. What’s more, the leg work for you as this huge canvas tent is ready pitched, kitted out and ready to go. All you have to do is arrive, relax and enjoy!

Relaxed you will definitely be after a blissful night’s sleep. The safari tent offers a few home comforts including proper beds with proper pillows and duvet. Refreshed from your slumbers, you’ll find the tent has all the equipment you need to prepare a feast that will fuel you for a day exploring your surroundings. You can enjoy alfresco dining on the decking area under tent’s large canopy.

The Safari tent is pitched in the site’s Paddock with its other glamping unit, the brand new and slightly quirky log cabin. Both are within easy reach of the site’s luxury amenity block with under floor heating and auto sensor power showers. Unfortunately the Safari Tent cannot accept dogs.

Log Cabin at Teversal

It’s cool, it’s quirky and it’s a little bit different but we think potential glampers will love Teversal Club Site’s brand new log cabin.

Located in the site’s designated glamping Paddock, this fully insulated rural retreat offers a relaxed camping experience whatever time of year you choose to glamp and whatever the weather.

The rustic log cabin will accommodate up to six people but you won’t suffer from cabin fever in here, quite the opposite. Inside the tardis like cabin is surprisingly spacious and well thought out and equipped with a few creature comforts to ensure a comfortable, relaxing break in a cosy and comfortable environment. And because everything is here ready for you, you can immediately relax and enjoy your holiday.

Just a stone’s throw from the cabin, Teversal’s luxurious facilities, including auto sensor power showers are at your disposal, further enhancing your glamping experience.

Teversal Holiday Caravan

Teversal is set in the beautiful countryside of Nottinghamshire on the Derbyshire borders.

Set in six acres, the site has one holiday caravan, ideal for discovering nearby market towns, ancient forests and the Peak District.

Railway station: Sutton in Ashfield 3 miles.

Bus stop: 300m from site entrance on routes to Mansfield via Sutton-in-Ashfield,
linking to Nottingham and Derby.

Worth noting: There is a six-berth holiday caravan and two luxury safari tents to let, t
book call 01623 551838.
This site has a well-stocked shop selling newspapers, local fresh produce and camping
supplies.

AA Heart of England Caravan Park of the Year 2010.

The market towns of Chesterfield, Sutton-in-Ashfield and Mansfield are all within easy reach.

The Teversal Trails Visitor Centre is a great starting point for many walks, following former colliery railway lines.

Hardwick Hall is owned by the National Trust. Its amazing textile collection is on display.

Crich Tramway Village near Matlock is a period village, home to the National Tramway Museum.

The Peak District’s oldest attraction is The Heights of Abraham. It has underground caverns, woodland paths and breathtaking views.

Sherwood Forest has a Go Ape! high-wire forest adventure course.

Clumber Park is excellent for walking and cycling.

Newstead Abbey was originally a priory and the former home of the poet Lord Byron.

Chatsworth House is one of Britain’s best-loved stately homes. It featured in the film Pride and Prejudice.

The National Watersports Centre offers white water rafting, wake boarding, water skiing, sailing and more.

What was great?
This site is wonderful. It's easy to find with great access suitable for newest of towers. Site staff will help you to your pitch and assist will levelling up. Location is great with Silverhill Wood Country Park across the road with direct access to the Teversal Trails and miles of walking and cycling paths. The shower block/facilities are the best I've come across, all wet rooms are private with automatic shower (just walk under the shower head), sink, toilet, mirrors and plenty of hooks/shelving. These facilities are spotless and done to a very high standard. There are also family rooms and excellent laundry room, with plenty of washer/dryer machines plus iron and board. There is also dog shower facilities, which again is kept very clean. The store is well stocked and newspapers are available without pre-ording. I've already booked to go back this Christmas for a week (site open 365 days), booked onsite and got 15% discount.

Great site

What was great?
This site is set in open countryside near to a number of towns and cities for you to visit. As you drive onto the site you are met with a clean and tidy parking area that looks good and gives a great first impression. Before I even exited the car there was a member of staff there to welcome me and walk me to the office. Inside I was dealt with fast and efficiently and then given the 20 second tour of the shop. Plenty of things if you have forgotten items like, bread, butter, sweets, assuage and bacon but to name a few. They are also a newsagent so you do not need to order them. I was then shown to my plot which was hard standing with water and waste. It was large enough for both van,a waning and vehicle. The site was explained to me before I started to set up. There is grass plots as well as hard standing for all sizes of vehicles. There is a BBQ area to the rear of the toilet facilities with tables and chairs. A pan, plate washing facility which is under cover . The thing I noticed with this site they seemed to have thought of everything. Even the toilet waste dump had a little sink with hot and cold running water to wash your hands afterwards with a soap de spencer. To the side of this was an electric hand dryer as well as paper towels. More sites should do this. The toilet blocks are one of the best I have seen. In each cubicle was a sink, toilet and shower all clean and tidy. The shower was a sensor type one so don't go near it dress dor you will get a soaking The staff seemed to work hard and there was plenty of them. Even thought they say on the brochure they close at 5pm they were still there till eight each night.

What was great?
This site has a good amount of facilities for people with disabilities like the plots near to the toilets and shop area. The toilets have a small ramp that is just the perfect angle and the doors are wide enough. There are two sets of facilities in there for people.

Even better if....
The roads and plots are all gravel and I could see this being a problem for wheelchairs

What was great?
This site has miles and miles of walks for the dogs as there is the old colliery grounds just over the road and it has been turned in a walking area with a couple hundred acres. There is also the old railway lines that are tree lined that are again great for walking the dogs. Walks from one mile, five, seven, ten, twelve and twenty miles.

Even better if....
The locals seem to use the first couple of hundred yards of the walking site for their dogs and just leave the mess where it drops so a little unsightly at the start but gets better as you walk a little distance. I say locals as three dog owners did not pick up and when I asked if they required a bag I was told were to go. They got in there vehicles and left. Don't let this spoil it for you though as a great site

What was great?
There is a pub just down from this site about three minutes walk so easy to stuble back. The prices for the drinks are not too bad and the meals looked nice although we did not have one. There is a cadavers about two miles away that opens at eight in the morning for an all you can eat breakfast for £3.99 but tea and coffee are extra.

What was great?
This site is great if you are into walking as you step over the road and there are miles and miles of walks in differing directions ending at a couple of historic places. This used to be an old pit but has had trees planted and footpaths placed in over several hundred acres. There is also walks along the miles and miles of old railway lines that used to service the pit. Great wildlife as well if you have a loom around. I saw foxs, owls and a couple of Red Kites.
