What was great?
In short, a great site would definitely go there again. On arrival you are greeted by Lynn or John who give you all the information you could want, not just about the site but the surrounding area. The site is beautifully kept and the toilet/shower block is spotless and has everything you could want provided. There are lots of nice touches, like individual named pitches, wheel barrows for the campers to move kit around on, BBQ and fire pit hire (which John comes and sets up for you ready to light and logs for several hours arranged around the base. They even come and clear them away when you have finished with them. The site has great walks and cycle paths that start at the entrance to the site. It is very close to all the local attractions many within walking distance. Lynn and John have visited most of the local attractions and walked or cycled the tracks so their advice is based on experience not just what the brochure says.

Even better if....
Just down the road is a cycle hire shop so if you don't want the bother of getting your bikes there then you can hire them for your stay. It is walking distance to several attractions and you get discount in some attractions for walking.
