What was great?
We have camped at West End Farm twice. It's a great little site, flat grass and very sheltered. A lovely quiet spot with only the noise of the occasional wood pigeon and the distant sound of the waves, the sea is about a mile away. You don't need to book, just turn up and knock on the farmhouse door. The site caters for about 10 tents, but there hasn't been anyone else there both times we've visited, so we've had the site to ourselves. There is also a separate area for motor homes and caravans. There is no electric hook ups, but there is a small shed with a toilet and basin. 20 minutes walk to the beach and you can use some of the facilities at Skipsea Sands holiday park (they have a pool and a clubhouse which are open to non residents). The campsite has a fishing pond, but you need to inform the owner at the farmhouse if you are going to use it. There is no play area but due to the quiet and sheltered location, it's great for the kids to run around, play cricket, rounders football etc. If you want a peaceful, slightly out of the way, campsite, West End Farm at Ulrome is a back to basics, no frills site. We paid £6.50 per night, mid September (a six person tent, 2 adults and 1 child). Bargain!

Even better if....
The WC shed is a disused railway carriage which contains a toilet, a washbasin and a mirror, it does have enough room to put a shower cubicle in there, so maybe something for the farmer to consider.
