Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park, is perfectly perched next to its own beautiful beach with easy access to everything that makes the Isle of Wight gorgeous.

Choose from a range of self-catered accommodation or find your perfect pitch. We have something for everyone to enjoy, young and old, couples, groups and families (including furry friends!). Whether you want a place to spend your entire holiday or a base from where you can explore the wonderful Isle of Wight. Away Resorts holidays are all about offering you the full spectrum of experiences to create special moments where everything comes together perfectly.

Touring and Camping

A dedicated park designed for Touring & Camping, perfectly set on a south facing gentle slope with some of the most stunning countryside views. An ideal setting to light up the BBQ and pop a cork, sit back and float away in total relaxation.

Please do give us a call on 01983 872671 if you wish to discuss your specific needs, as we know some of the larger tents, caravans and motorhomes can be really really big! You can arrive as early as 11:00am on the day and depart no later than 10:00am. Remember! The use of all our other Park facilities are included in your pitch price although the availability of some facilities may vary according to the time of year.

Bell tents were originally used by the British Army when camps were set up as staging areas for troops were traveling to Europe during World War 1. At wars end some of these camps were purchased by entrepreneurs and called Holiday Camps.

On the Park

The perfect location to spend the entire day is on the beach. The Bay has a very long shallow beach so it’s great for a bit of paddling around.

Bring your beach stuff
There is simply loads of sand and rock pooling! Did you know we are on the Jurassic coastline? Well that means some fossil hunting and then why not try some body surfing, surf skimming, sand castle building, cricket, beach football and beach volleyball. There are some fab activities that you can get up to. Then when you are feeling peckish you can grab a hearty snack and drink from the famous ‘Tupenny Cafe’! Take care
Like any beach there are all sorts of things that mischievous little ones can get up to so always keep a close eye on what they are doing and where they are. Also Remember your suntan lotion. It’s not like the old days when you just burned and poured calamine lotion all over yourself! Check out this advice from Netdoctor to help you decide what Sun factor to buy.

Beach access: The path to our beach is steep in places and could be a problem for wheelchair users or those with physical disabilities that is problematic on steep inclines.

Outdoor Cinema

Bring along your blanket, snuggle under the stars with popcorn and a hot chocolate, wait for a marshmallow to toast and sit back and enjoy the film.

New to Whitecliff Bay Outdoor Cinema this year is our GIANT deck chairs! They are so big that you can fit up to 3 members of the family on them! So make sure you get to the showing early so you don’t miss the chance to kick back on a deck chair suitable for Big Foot!

Swimming Pools

The Outdoor Pool
Here at Whitecliff Bay we have both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The outdoor pool is very large and is accompanied by a sunbathing area, toddlers splash pool and costal views over Whitecliff Bay. The outdoor pool operates from Whitsun bank holiday in May right through until the first week in September, so you can cool down after a long day of sun soaking and of course keep the children occupied! During the summer it can get very hot so make sure you have suncream to hand, waterproof is best because we can guarantee the kids will be in and out all day long.

The indoor pool
also generously sized the indoor pool includes a bubble pool, toddlers splash pool and fun slide. Both pools are conveniently located near the Nab Bar so no need for long walks in soggy swimwear when the kids get hungry!

Entertainment

There is an excellent line up of entertainment in the evenings, all presented by our resident entertainers. From good old favourites like bingo and quizzes to the glitz and glamour of live music and performers. There will be plenty of chances to dance, tap your feet, sing-along, wave a flag, shed a tear and clap your hands…

We have a full week of entertainment, plus every Friday & Saturday night we have visiting cabarets. On a Wednesday the Nab Bar has a more relaxed evening for you to just come on in and enjoy a quiet drink (or two!).

Guests enjoy the freedom that self-catering brings and many love the value for money of ‘cooking like at home’ whilst on holiday. We have nearby popular supermarkets and a well-equipped convenience stores selling fresh products daily.

Nab Bar & Restaurant
Serving food all day offering good value family dining with breakfast, lunch and diner menu’s. Choose from relaxed seating in the lounge bar or table dining in the restaurant. Children’s menu available and baby food.

For lunch or dinner there is plenty of choices, starters include: the Family Platter with Hot Wings, Onion Rings, Griddled Cobs, Garlic Bread and Herby Dip. Main course favourites include: the Tower Burger, Fish and Chips with Mushy Peas, Rack of Smokehouse Ribs. Classic dishes include: Beer & Beef Pie or how about a slow roasted Shank of Lamb with Seasonal Vegetables. To finish: you can enjoy a selection of yummy desserts.

Tuppeny Cafe’
There is something quite special about a mug of tea and a bacon sandwich, or whatever takes your fancy at our beach cafe. What holidays are all about, with homemade food, family run service and postcard views.

Culver Diner
Convenient fast food serving freshly made pizza’s, burgers, hot dogs and those all important sides of fries, garlic flatbread etc. Located at the Culver Club this is a great place to grab food throughout your evening.

Play

Children, Mums, Dads come along and join in with a playful programme of daytime activities organised every day. Designed for 5 to 12 year olds.

Our Play sessions offer brilliant and memorable experiences that your children will never forget. These take place every day and have been created to provide a variety of fun and engaging experiences. There will be plenty of chances to get hands covered in paint, chocolate, sand, water and so much more! Don’t panic though as we always provide rather fetching aprons.

We make a small charge for Play sessions so we can ensure the experience your child has is the best possible. Each day we have a free session. Session passes are available for sale at Leisure Services everyday. Once you arrive on your holiday please make your bookings as the sessions can be very popular and occasionally sell out. Off the Park

Steeped in history with 60 miles of stunning unspoilt scenery and attractions for all ages, the Isle of Wight has something for everyone. From historic sites to natural delights, music festivals and major national events, it is a unique holiday destination.

Firstly, Carisbrooke Castle, built in the 12th century is best known as the place where King Charles I was imprisoned: walk the castle walls or play bowls on the very green Charles used. Kids will love dressing up as Norman soldiers or Civil War troopers, and meeting the castle’s famous donkeys, while the grown-ups can take a stroll around the new Edwardian style Princess Beatrice Garden.

The English Heritage property Osborne House offers the chance to visit a royal seaside palace in the style of an Italian Renaissance palazzo. Built in the 19th century for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert you can take an intimate glimpse at the family’s life as you tour their private rooms. Go and explore some wildlife at Queen Victoria’s private beach or at the fashionable garden.

If you’re interested in more exotic animals Isle of Wight Zoo and Amazon World Zoo Park are both must-sees. Isle of Wight Zoo is home to Britain’s largest collection of tigers and at Amazon World you can come face to face with some of the world’s most unusual, beautiful and endangered creatures like sloths, anteaters, armadillos, crocodiles, ocelots, penguins and 200 different species of birds.

For more nature experience the Isle of Wight is crisscrossed by more than 500 miles of well-maintained and signposted footpaths. Winding through field and forest and round the coast, these footpaths give access to every corner of the Island – including many fascinating towns and villages. A pub lunch in one of the villages nearby makes for a perfect please-everybody excursion.
