I am about to get a roof air conditioning unit fitted in my caravan. I have heard both of these are good but does anyone have any advice on which is better and more reliable?

I have a Dometic A/C unit that was fitted new when caravan built in 2007. I have owned for 3 years and never had a problem, I believe that the latest models are quieter than the one I have.

Hi thanks for advice. My close friend as given same advice so I think we may plump for dometic! Having it fitted at Easter! Posted by Ian Jennings on 13 Mar 2013

I have a Telair Silent fitted to my unit - very reliable and efficient but bear in mind that a roof mounted air con unit will inevitably transmit noise by vibration - no problem during the day but it's not really possible to use it when sleeping (not for me anyway)
