We went touring in North Devon for a few weeks after new year and had a great time. Totally beautiful along the coast there. The only problem we kept having was we couldn't peg out our porch awning on a number of occasions as the ground was frozen. Any suggestions as we are planning a week away soon and would like a solution!

I use the heavy duty pegs they work great with a plastic mallet.

Hi how about taking a battery operated drill and a mason bit just a little bit smaller than the peg diameter and possibly at a greater angle then normal.
I hope this is helpful.

Hi Steve, I use rock pegs and a fairly heavy rubber malet. They work well in stony ground but I have not tried in frozen ground.
At least you cam give them a good hard wack without them bending like the ordinary ones.
Hope this helps.
