Any ideas on how to stop light coming in around the blinds in the caravan, especially early on summer mornings? My little ones wake up even earlier than normal due to the light. I end up trying to place towels etc over the blinds but they just end up dropping off!

We put tubular pipe lagging that you can buy in homebase/B&Q onto the bottom of the blinds in the bedroom and this stops nearly all the light. Also in the bedroom we made a kind of blackout blind to cover the roof light blind as that let so much light in. If you imagine the Gro Anywhere blinds that are the best travel blackout blinds for kids and they have the suckers that attach to windows. Well obviously you cant stick the suckers to the caravan roof so we attached toggles to the blackout blind and stapled (with staple hand gun) black rubber bands to the ceiling around the roof blind to fit the toggles into. This worked perfectly and we had the bedroom very dark (if not completely black) for our children and we had slightly later mornings. Now they are older we cant get them out of bed in the mornings!!!!
