I have recently gotten my caravan out of storage and there is some water ingress after the winter. I keep it in an outside storage field.

I am considering getting a caravan cover. Do you think this would help with the problem next year and are there any recommendations on good ones?

Thats good.. the 26ft one cost me over $300 but is strong and long lasting. Biggest problem is covers make great scratching posts for CATS Posted by william kyle on 16 Jan 2014

Hi Mark,

We have a cover for our motorhome and it has been a good investment. It keeps the exterior much cleaner - especially keeping off the bird muck :) Ours is an older van, so I feel confident that the cover keeps out some water too. We use a Maypole cover.

I cannot say whether or not they are good or bad as we have just brought one and plan to use it this winter as our van is stored in a field but it was only about £90 from ebay brand new for a 19-21 ft van

Hi, we have one of these covers ourself on our Elddis Rambler which is parked outside. You can buy an off the shelf one or made to measure.
I do not think these are waterproof but water resistant and breathable. They do protect the van and such things as the windows in sunny weather and during winter.
We have had less black streaks down the sides when it is on.

Hope this helps
