Anyone know if there are any restrictions for bike racks on ferries? We are hoping to head to some of the Scottish islands in the 'van and want to take the bike on the rear-mounted rack. Wondering whether the ferries allow this.

HI
Whenever I have booked a ferry before, they ask you for your car details and then ask if you will be carrying any bikes. Then they will clarify if they are rear or roof mounted to ascertain the vehicle's overalk height.
Hope this helps
