Hi all ! I have been looking at stoves for a while now and can't decide. I need a camping stove preferably with a double burner. There seems to be loads of different ones but I want something as light as possible as I often have to carrying everything on our expeditions. Any advice? Thanks

Don't buy a double burner, buy two UNO stoves, you know the ones, sold everywhere for between £5 & £15, the gas that goes with them is the cheapest and most widely available. They are very light and you then have the option of one or two rings. There is no massive gas bottle, regulator and hose either, simple.

only downfall is they are usually butane - poor performance in very low temperatures (propane burns much better in the colder months(. Also they eat the gas cannisters so work out expensive Posted by Val Barley on 10 Mar 2013

Why not just take 2 Trangias? - either meths or gas conversion. We cook all summer for very 3 hungry kids and us on 2 of these, which also have the pans around them - saving weight and space. Make sure you get one with the non-stick frying pan for bacon!

I love my folding stove by royal, it's run on gas and has two rings and a grill but folds down really flat, great if you have limited space in the car but not one for backpackers

It's like this one
