For some reason this seems to be very difficult to find online.

I live in The Netherlands and would like to come across to visit friends and family in the East Yorkshire area.

Upon searching none of the sites I have looked at have made any mention of trailer tents, all they ever talk about is caravans and normal tents.

Could someone please clarify for me what classification a trailer tent falls under in the UK as far as camp grounds goes.

And possibly send me in the right direction to a reasonably priced campground that allows trailer tents

Hi Barry, you could try 'POPLARS' site at Sewerby nr Bridlington ( not a million miles from the Hull area)

this is a site I can personally recommend as we have stayed there several times, their web page makes no mention of trailer tents but for the cost of a phone call ,would it hurt to ask ?

they take caravans, tents and motorhomes so i'm guessing trailer tents would be okay too

good luck

Hi Barry, most sites take trailer tents where they have a mix of tents and caravans. I have my caravan on a seasonal pitch in West Yorkshire where they have a touring field which takes trailer tents. It's not too expensive and is a great place to explore the Yorkshire Dales and National Park. The site has a great adventure trail for young children and an activity centre near by for caving etc (How Stean Gorge).

Check it out it's about 15 miles from Harrogate: Studfold Farm Caravan Park, Lofthouse. Open from March till the end of October.

Regards
Ray

Thanks for that.
North Yorkshire (where that site says it is) is a bit far from where I want to be though, all my family and friends live in and around the Beverley and Hull area.
It's nearly 70 miles away.
