leds are a simple retro fit, however.
check how your bulds fit into the light unit, if they fit in through the back of the light unit you may find some leds will not fit without enlarging the hole in the light backing (reflector) as they may be wider than bulbs

or

you may find the led is longer and you cannot refit the light lens or bulb holder.

i have come across this with vehicle lamps and when converting my interior lights to leds. sometimes a bit of filing and fiddling can get the job done, other times you just have to admit defeat.

Hi Martin, i swopped ordinary bulbs for led's on my car ,same bayonet fitting as the originals but a lot brighter but i was getting a 'bulb' out warning light on the dash due to the lower resistance of the leds, it was a simple fix though just had to fit a resistor gizmo into the rear light cluster.

not being a techy type not sure whether or not the same would apply to your kon-tiki.

got my led's and the resistor gadgy off fleabay ( led bulbs were about £14.00 a pair the ristor kit was under a fiver) , but i'm sure you can get led bulbs with a built-in resistor though

Hello martin,
Converting the http://www.iautobodyparts.com/exterior_lighting-catalog/">vehicle headlight to LED obviously encounters few fitment issue, but those are not irreparable. You will be needed to do some alterations on your holder for example light backing-hole expansion. Also for a steady solution you should change it with any appropriate one if possible.
