Several years ago we spent 4 days on the Dordogne near Sarlat and liked it. We are hoping to return later this year but wondered if anybody knows of any other areas perhaps nearer to Bergerac

Our favourite site is 'Camping Les Iles' at Beaulieu sur Dordogne. It may be a little too far from Bergerac for you, but the site is beautiful and ideally situated for touring. Situated on an island in the Dordogne river, it is reached over a small bridge, yet is still a gentle stroll into the small and delightful town of Beaulieu, where there are excellent restaurants, shops and bars etc. It is very clean and well run, and is part of the 'Flower Camping' organisation. Their website gives you all the details.
