The jockey wheel on my new caravan keeps "unwinding" when I am travelling and I have to stop to raise it up again. This has never happened to me during my 20 years of caravanning with five previous caravans, the caravan supplier tells me there is nothing wrong with the jockey wheel!!

Martin sounds a bit of a duff answer from the caravan sales people. Have you thought of either putting it in Google and looking at the answers or what about contacting the builder of the caravan?
i know its not what you want but we have just bought a new Jockey wheel (long story) and it only cost £40 new. Or what about putting an elastic band around it to stop it moving in the mean time till its resolved.
Hope this helps and good luck

Hi Daz
I asked the mechanic when the 'van was serviced and he checked the wheel out and couldn't find any fault so couldn't replace it under warranty, I intended to buy a new wheel but thought I would try this forum first.
Thanks for your input anyway,
Regards
Martin

Hi
I had this problem, and found the problem was caused by the captive nut where the jockey wheel handle goes in, the threads were very badly worn causing the handle to jump threads and become loose while towing
However it was fine while on a pitch.
Hope this helps
Stuart.

Hi Martin,
Usually the jockey wheel, when stowed, rests against the A frame or its shroud. This stops the wheel rotating. Is the jockey stowed in the correct position?
Comment
Hi Andy,
Yes I have ensured that the wheel is stowed in the correct position which is why I can't understand why this is happening but thanks for your help anyway.
Regards
Martin
