I have advised that connecting to a mains water supply via a Whale Aquasource is not recommended, because of the risk of flooding the caravan.
I think this advice is total tosh, but if any of you fellow caravanners out there have had any problems, please let me know.

Regards
Mr T.

Well you can do , but is it wise you are open to two problems.

Firstly if your on board pump has a larger flow ltr/min than the mains ( quite possible on several sites we have stayed on) you will get surging and intermittent flow from your taps shower etc. and possibly a bit of banging caused by cavitation at your pump.

Secondly you are relying on a plastic non return valve and the integrity of your internal pipe connections to obviate any chance of a free flow of water into your caravan.

If you connect via an Aquaroll you remove both problems before they occur

Cheers Brian,
I've used the Aquasource for nearly 2 years now and never had a problem. No fluctuations or drop in water pressure.
I take your point though about the integrity of the caravan pipe work and the dependency of plastic shut off on the Aqua fitting.
I hope a few more members comment, particularly if they've had a problem.
Regards
Ray

use an aquaroll mains system to continually top up the aquaroll.
Its cheaper than a mains pressure water pump and will prevent the caravan from flooding.
