Hi, my Caravan JVC Radio which is fitted in the caravan has not worked since the digital TV Switch over nearly two years go, and yet the HD Digital TV still works from the circular roof aerial fitted on my Compass Caravan. Can anyone help, please

I think you should try to check your ariel settings then the manual ones. I also recently installed 2-way radio and Cello TV in my caravan and thinking to get a subwoofer to improve the quality of sound. That's why I am looking at some quality subwoofers from here https://carcaretotal.com/best-powered-car-subwoofers/. I am in favour of Kenwood KSC-SW11 due to its good build. Hopefully, I will find the best one. On the other hand, if you wouldn't to fix your radio then try to get any expert advice from an auto expert.

The TV aerial shouldn't effect the radio. Most radios will work off any type of car aerial if the one fitted to the caravan doesn't work.
Have you checked that the power to the caravan aerial is okay and switched correctly? It is also worth checking that the connections to the aerial are all OK.

Hope this helps

Thanks Ray
As far as I am aware all the connections are OK, as there is power to the radio and there is also the noise coming from both speakers, and I have checked the booster box is set correctly
Thanks very much for your reply

Have you tried adding a 4G filter? in some areas this can affect signal.

First of all, you need to check either it is about satellite singles or any audio issue. I don't think it has any problem with your digital TV ariel. In this regard, you should follow this guide https://www.lifewire.com/car-radio-wont-turn-on-534706. Hopefully, it would fix your radio problem.

However, it has also been noticed that sometimes, radio works but due to audio issues we unable to hear the sound properly. In this case, you will have to check wiring of your speaker. On the contrary, if you have any of your audio system wire has burnt then better to use any good audio capacitor from here https://99carstereo.com/car-audio-capacitor-buy-reviews/. Yes, in many cases, I noticed that excess pass of power damages the audio devices.

Hi Garry, It sounds like a definite aerial issue. On top of the circular aerial you should have a spike about 9" long, this is the radio aerial. Is it there?
